In a perfect world, Biden would have announced he wasn't running earlier and we'd get a primary. But of course, that didn't happen and the only conceivable replacement was Kamala. So, was Kamala's strategy of embracing Republicans and not distancing herself from Biden flawed? A resounding yes. But she excited enough democrats to keep the swing states close and saved enough democrats down ballot in the process. I reiterate that I hope history is kind to her because of that. She turned a historic landslide defeat into a close but lopsided EC loss. Honestly not all that different than Hubert Humphrey in 1968 if you think about it. 1 1
