Giving Elon a fake spot in his admin. :ahh: :ahh: :ahh:

So far, these appointments have been more hilarious and less scary. I know there are more to come, but so far I'm like, "you're really going to **** this up on your own lol".

Do... do people think Trump is gonna let RFK Jr. really do wide-sweeping regulations over the food industry?

Even if people earnestly believed he was just advocating for heavier European-style regulations on concerning byproducts in processed foods... do people think a Republican presidency is going to be for further regulation?

I agree with whoever said Elon is likely who Trump will fall out with sooner than later but feels like this movement is where the rubber hits the road and who will be first shocked to realize most elected officials don't care about conspiracy theorists and cruncytok or whatever. Like Republicans are too pro-capitalism for heavy regulations on food and too 'oh we don't want to actually face consequences' to roll back vaccines standards and have tens of thousands of babies just start dying.

I know someone who considered voting for Trump because at least RFK is talking about the food industry and bringing change. So yeah I think there's a segment of the population this appeals to.

I know we're the laughing stock of other countries right now. This cannot be a real thing. Are we in a dream? :deadbanana4:

Also, isn't it the case that part of the reason our food labels look different than Europe's is because we have some stricter regulations than the EU and require manufacturers to list off all additives by their written names?

We also have lower bars for which ingredients might be carcinogenic than the EU but it doesn't mean those additives have been proven to be carcinogenic to humans.

There’s a clip of Sunny Hostin saying it on The View from a few years back. That’s a trauma memory I’m never letting go of. Also, I had an ex who was a huge Elon fan for the same reason—thinking he was a revolutionary that would save us from climate change. This ex is now getting a PhD at a top university. He’s not uneducated or unintelligent in any way. Just a bit gullible for qualifications and hype to see through the smoke and mirrors. But a lot of people are like that. But it’s also an artifact of people being falsely told that cars are the #1 issue for climate change.

Wait if someone casted these guys for a TV show - it would go for 20 seasons and win hundreds of Emmys. Trump needs to sign his presidency up for a reality TV show with Ryan Seacrest. "Trumping up America" can be the title. This is so entertaining :jonnykin: Everybody in Europe is cackling.

All we want is these incompetents in positions so that their pillar of government doesn't get anything done or achieved.

Yeah, it appeals to the dumbest people who don't understand the US bans more food additives than the EU but never brings that up bc it doesn't fall in line with their narrative. These are the people you always see walking down grocery aisles being like, "don't eat this because it has seed oils, don't eat this because I can't pronounce the ingredients".

I hope these people get what they voted for, cause what I'm going to get is entertainment watching the infighting that's bound to happen
