So how likely is it that the Supreme Court would rule in favor of ending birthright citizenship?

I'd say a 70/30 chance tbh

I bet DeSantis is gonna pull a Rick Scott and run for Rubio's seat in 2026. Ideal scenario for him (but not for me; ENOUGH of this manΒ :deadbanana2:) since given the direction of the state he'll likely be able to hold the seat for as long as he wantsΒ

And how exactly they plan to do the "mass deportations?" I don't think the Mexican cartels are just gonna let that happen.

Honey,Β MEXICO's not gonna let that happen.

Β

They already disagreed with and turned away migrants Biden sent back to the country duringΒ hisΒ term while waiting for their hearings.

Β

The notion they can accomplish what they claim in even four years is ludicrous and everyone knows it.

Β

We're talking, according to some estimates, close to 12 million people.

I wonder which groups Dems are most likely to make gains with in the coming years. I kinda don't see their collapse with young white men and Latino men getting better :rip:

And with the way some are demonizing Harris and throwing her under the bus it seems like they're trying to lose black women nextΒ :rip:

If anything, Latino men will just not turn out to vote at all next time around. White men will continue to vote red. I'm honestly pretty hopelessΒ :rip:Β

Also it's amazing people in this country don't take even a second to think about how deporting 12 million people would work logistically. How are you gonna find them all? How many agents will you need to hire just to round them up and arrest them all? Where are you gonna detain them? Are you going to put millions of people through the judicial system? Which countries are gonna take them? And what about for the kids who were born to undocumented parents, why would any countries take them? Β :deadbanana4:Β And that would only come after ending birthright citizenship. Otherwise you're sending parents back and putting millions of kids in the foster system I guess.

But again, the American people are children who were promised ice cream

Lol, sis, we have a LONG way to go before this can even be a real discussion. Look how quickly things changed just this summer in this election. We have 3 years of uncertainty before we will have even a clue where 2028 will be heading. I'm not saying there shouldn't be discourse, but it's all futile right now. People's emotions are still getting the better of them.Β

There are definitely legitimate criticisms to be made against the campaign however there are ways to be critical without making her the scapegoat. Black women already have the trope of needing to be twice as good and work twice as hard just to get half the recognition so putting all the blame at her feet and not Biden's is a bad look. I've already seen evidence (anecdotal ofc) of black women not liking how Kamala is scapegoated with the loss when she was dealt a losing hand to begin with. Again, not saying she doesn't deserve any blame (Liz Cheney wtf!) or criticism but the way someΒ are going about doing it is making an already fractured party even worse.Β
