Does anyone know why the hell X is on fire with this Alphie Oakes FBI raid? It's obviously over loans but they're sounding like maga after 2020. :deadbanana2:Like Trump won, I get the denial phase but that's so Thursday morning now

How is the senate looking for Dems in 2026? I do think they'll be at an advantage cause Trump turned out a lot of low info voters who probably won't vote in the midterms

Would love to see Collins lose her seat

Maine and NC are two potential pickups, especially if Collins and Tillis retire. Maybe Texas could be in play if Cornyn gets primaried by a nutcase (a lot of right wingers hate him because of the gun control bill he helped pass) but it's unlikely.

We also have to defend Michigan and Georgia, especially if Brian Kemp runs for Senate.

Kamala closing the popular vote gap is nice to see.

DNCbox, nobody cares bud. She lost in ways that shouldn't even be possible for a Democrat to lose by, seeing as how Hillary Clinton had what was an unfathonmably bad loss, and still won the popular vote by millions and millions…

Though I was very glad to see Kamala run instead of Biden, the last three presidential candidates being picked by party leaders is wild :deadbanana4:

Now there's the Nancy Pelosi I know and loathe.

And I just said the other day how I gained a new found respect for her for being integral in having Biden forced out. Apparently she wanted an open primary and didn't have much faith in Kamala, either. And Bernie has never won because people like her ensured he didn't, lol, but we won't revisit that conversation tonight.

It's back to **** Pelosi again. Was just starting to warm up to her. They'll never learn.

Ossoff loses to any Republican that actually lives in Georgia. Hell, he'd even lose to Herschel Walker, seeing as Warnock only BARELY survived that race. Ossoff needed to be dragged by Warnock's coattails through the runoff and had 20,000 Warnock voters either vote for David Perdue or leave him blank :suburban:

Some of the people here were practically frothing at the mouth at the prospect of a Trump win, just to own the libs.

Ngl I predicted a Trump win last year when Biden's approval ratings were in the low 40s. Even if something happened to Biden between then and 24 primaries, anyone associated with his administration would become political poison as the Dem nominee.

Honestly, the next female presidential candidate should just be an unapologetic, cold b*tch and double down on progressive policies. It might actually work instead of forcing yourself to be likable and appealing to everyone. Half the country is going to hate you no matter what anyways.

I tried to put my hand on who to compare Kamala to as a candidate, and oddly enough John Kerry is perfect.

Except he actually gave dems a fighting chance while Kamala…..

Why do I feel like 2028 is gonna be the radical optimism that we finally been seeking?

Whoever was on Harris' campaign team was praying on her downfall because who thought pandering to Republicans was a good idea? You know damn well, and unfortunately I have to admit it, this country is slow. The Democrats need to say basic language that the average voter comprehends, they think the economy is gonna get better under Trump.

That Nancy quote :dies: These fossils will NEVER learn or step down from power after decades of failing up. It is insane. In any other country on Earth, a blowout crushing failure like Democrats got on Tuesday would have sent all of the party leaders packing. They are so unable to own up to their disastrous loss of the working class because really addressing it would upend their power structure and theory of politics they've relied on for years, so the problem is only going to keep getting worse.

I mean maybe if they lose the next 2 presidential elections voters will start demanding more.

I think a skilled orator on the Democratic side will make a huge difference next time around.

Trump has had the monopoly on political interest but in 2028 they only have boring MAGA-establishment wannabes and shills to push.

If the Democratic candidate can control more airtime purely because they're the most interesting politician to listen to, it'll go a huge way.

I mean we need a charismatic figure, but it's not 2008. We need to focus on economic populism.

Did I say it's 2008?

the american media yearned for a trump term again so they could run their anti-trump agenda (only after he won) and make money out of installing fear

a trump term makes for a more volatile and clickbaity news cycle

sick and twisted kinda

Went to my boyfriend's friend's party tonight and everyone was talking about how much they think Gavin Newsom should run.

They're all college educated, $100k + salary makers.
