Lol. Nah, BluAnon, yall just thumped beyond repair. Get over yourselves, move to the right and run a 2004 Republican campaign like yall really want to, and see what happens! Please!

If it ends with a filibuster-proof majority for Republicans? Well, that's your fault. Not mine

I live for your draggings of democrats, you've been so right and it couldn't be more clear. No more voting for this utter garbage of nothing.

Democrats truly needed this ass whopping by one of the literal worst people on earth as a chance to save their party. Sink or swim people, the exit polls speak for themselves.

But I fully expect them to go into 2028 thinking Josh Shapiro is the next Obama and praying for an economic collapse so they can relive 2008-2016 of doing nothing but begging republicans to help them in Congress, only to be told no

I just love how I was dragged for filth for being so negative. And even then they underperformed MY expectations :ahh:

Communion is better at finding old posts than I am, but I distinctly remember saying Joe Biden would lose the popular vote. Come to find out his internal polling showed that he was losing 400 EC votes. And his dead enders are STILL insisting we should have stuck with him :ahh:

How is the senate looking for Dems in 2026? I do think they'll be at an advantage cause Trump turned out a lot of low info voters who probably won't vote in the midterms

Would love to see Collins lose her seat

This entire election was just one flashing red sign that democrats are utterly doomed long term if they don't change, and don't change now. The damage might already be too late

Collins and Ossoff will trade in the best case scenario, and everyone else remains stagnant.

Worst case, Collins stays. Ossoff, Peters, and Shaheen lose, while Tina Smith and Mark Warner have to fight to hold onto dear life. Every Republican seat other than Maine is extremely safe.

On Election Eve, everyone here was perched for a Kamala win, and in the aftermath, everyone here is saying 'she was a doomed to flop'.

2016 teas all over again.:bibliahh:

This just in, people hope their candidate wins and try to look at ways they can win instead of not win!

Honestly I think it's too early to assume what kind of nominee the Republican base would pick in 2028. But I don't see why that wouldn't just be Vance at this point. Still, I'm skeptical if a DeSantis or even a Vance could attract the same level of mixed racial working class support and youth support Trump does. I also think Trump off the ballot will make for comparatively lower turnout on both sides.

We also have to see what kind of party the Democratic Party chooses to become these next few years. One or two more blowout elections like 1984 and 1988 wouldn't surprise me now that the Democratic Party is completely fractured and doesn't have a clear path forward, but also I think we're in more polarized and unprecedented times that the pendulum could always swing back.

I just... the way Gluey positions herself really makes me think she's going to throw her hat in the ring and try to primary Murray in 2028 (who'll be 78 and going for a 7th term...), and I don't think I'll be able to handle her with an elevated national profile. I guess yay Joe Kent has been beat twice but if the GOP puts up someone less Schutzstaffely in 2026 I think I might be very quietly rooting for them

Of course, given the persistence of the extremes of MAGA (aka Trump trying again, Blake Masters trying again... there seems to be a trend), I wouldn't be surprised to see Kent try for WA-3 again in 2026

These datas/polls/demographic graphics are all fake... They are created for wathever the narration of the press wants to do.

This election more than proved that they are just there for the media to make money on... Harris never stood a chance but all media sold as if it was a neck  to neck race so we would spent a year glued to our screens.

I have no idea who in the democratic party at the moment could be the nominee that we could all even begin to agree on. Me personally, I'll vote for anyone from far left to moderate democratic I just want a senate supermajority and house to go along with it so **** can get done. That's if, and a hugggeeee if we even have 2026 midterms or a 2028 election.

I do think Trump may mess things up so badly it may actually break this hold conservative media has on the population and finally make people realize republicans are too extreme. I said to myself a few months ago that maybe a few years of actual suffering is what this country needs to finally push us forward

I'm kinda over the finger pointing....at what point do we start to rebuild the Democratic platform and stress test potential candidates for 2028....

I really hope the infighting doesn't last the next 2 years. We lost and we need to unpack all the 'whys' and come up with a path forward that addresses the core issues and I think that work needs to start now.

The infighting needs to continue so that a clear way forward is established.

Does the Democratic Party want to return to its roots of being a working class party that appeals to the working class first and foremost

Or does it want to be a party of Hillary Scholtens, Marie Perezs, Jared Goldens, etc and continue being a party of neoliberals, that panders to a nonexistent crossover Republican voter block, and loses elections and gets laughed at, but raises tons of $$$?
