The democrats gas lit Americans by telling them that Biden was fine. Biden should have resigned right after the midterms and been truthful about his condition Even if Biden decided not to run for reelection and did not resign, the person that won the primary would have had to defend Biden's mental state. The only way democrats would have won is if Biden stepped down 2 years ago. It's sad, because I do think Biden had some positive achievements but he really fumbled the bag and possibly let us sleepwalk into fascism 1

Yes because he tried to push it through measure he knew wouldn't work, and instead of fighting to get it we just stopped talking about. He managed to get pockets of it gone, but instead of highlighting that small victory and a promise to keep pushing, we focused on Liz Cheney and reaching across the aisle 4

They knew voters on the left were going to sit out this election, so they tried to build a coalition in the middle. In hindsight, it was obvious the campaign was struggling when the campaign talking points dissolved into, "Trump Bad" during the last few weeks. I feel stupid for not realizing it sooner 1
