Silver lining girls: the government is now super right wing, let's pray Americans wake up to how awful they'll make it. Can't blame democratic house or senate or president this time.ย

Just remembered how Tulsi is now vindicated for joining team Trump nnn. Her and JD pulled off a grift for the agesย

Have no clue who tf Susie Wiles is but they're already playing the PR "we don't hate women" game and the media will eat it the **** up. There's no way a woman will last that long, especially if she ever pushes back on him.ย

And ATRLs take away is MORE LEFT!!!!!

I mean, of course it will be.ย

ย

When we become the party of only people like you - high income, high education - we lose.ย

ย

We gave YIMBY affluent moderates every right wing policy they wanted and poor people said "wait.....I hate not being able to afford food" and either went for the guy who talked about everything being so expensive or stayed home.ย

ย

ย

The Democratic coalition you want - the upper right square - cannot win elections.ย

I was just about to post this, Queen.

ย

Pelosi doesn't miss here. And this is personal for her because of what happened to her husband. I fear she's in more danger now that the right has been emboldened by Kamala's stunning and epic repudiation.ย

If you look at the lost margins in the swing states, Kamala could have won this with just a million more votes, or less, placed strategically in those places.

I made several counter points this week pointing out how many leftist ballot measures were rejected this election only to be met by crickets from the numerous people who just quoted me.

ย

It's just not worth my time to argue with echo chambers when we have no idea what any of this will look like come 2028.ย

I found Jen Psaki incredibly insufferable as Press Sec, butโ€ฆ she's 100% correct here

ย

ย

Best Psaki Bomb I've ever heard :sistrens:ย

Love to see her admitting this. She's absolutely right.

Leftists stayed home, that's why there's this optic now that America suddenly shifted right. No, progressives didn't vote at all.

You were probably given cricket because you provided an inaccurate picture of the ballot initiatives passed throughout the country, a handful of examples:

  • Alaska:ย passed a $15 minimum wage, passed paid sick leave.
  • Missouri:ย passed a $15 minimum wage, passed paid sick leave.
  • Kentucky:ย rejected a proposal to that would give public funding to private and charter schools.
  • Nebraska:ย repealed an amendment that allowed public funding to go to private schools.

Here's a damning quote:

Quote

The results were remarkable: Harrisโ€™ agendaย was far more popularthan Trumpโ€™s, but many people had no idea that the Democratโ€™s priorities were, in fact, her priorities.

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/ballot-measures-deliver-big-wins-progressive-policy-priorities-rcna179308

ย

The argument from leftists is that running to the right to show you are bipartisan (when most Americans hate both parties to begin with) makes no sense when you should focus on policy. Left-leaning policies are more popular than right-leaning policies, which is why Trump claims he will give everyone healthcare and make everything cheaper with tarriffs (even though that won't lower prices in practice).ย

ย

The issue is Democrats don't focus on policies in a way that distinguish them from Republicans.

ย

I know you'll skirt around this and say I live in la la land. So I'll leave it at that.
