PS - Harris being such a big tech and billionaire shill even during her campaign means she directly also caused us to lose the Senate and Brown.ย

ย

KAMALA HARRIS' ECONOMIC AGENDA FOR BLACK MEN INCLUDED "PROTECTING CRYPTO ASSETS"??? THROW HER ON AN ABANDONED ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA AND DON'T LET HER EVER COME BACK!!

When you realize that the 2028 democratic primary is going to kick off in South Carolina and Clyburn backs Shapiro.ย

Moreno in 2016 described Trump as a "lunatic invading [the Republican Party]" and said he could not support a Republican Party led by "that maniac".[41]ย He wrote in a tweet that he hadย written inย a vote forย Marco Rubioย in theย 2016 presidential election.[42]ย During a 2019 radio interview, Moreno said, "there's no scenario in which I would support Trump." In 2024, he said, "I wear with honor my endorsement from President Trump."[43]

This forum is out of touch with what the democratic base wants and Shapiro will be an automatic front runner come primary season. You have the core constituency of dem voters

basically mocking the Palestinian genocide and saying **** them. It's time to get out of the echo chambers.ย

Quote

According to an Elysรฉe adviser,ย Macron congratulated Trump on his victory and insisted on the importance of "working with and for Europe to face common challenges." The Republican figurehead has threatened to stop military aid to Kyiv and said he would seek to negotiate an end to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

it's so ******* overย

Ugh, and you know it's true too. About as bad as these Christians who swear up and down that they "don't like Trump as a human being" they just think he's better for the country. I'm so sick of them trying to justify themselves by preceding it with "I really don't like him, but..." bytch, yes you do ******* like him just own it and stop hiding behind your fake ass "Christian" veil. I'm tired of being nice about it, the rationalizations are beyond absurd now. You just voted for someone who, at the very least, has fascist tendencies, who literally tried to keep himself in power with force when he lost the last election, who carelessly "stored" ie: stole (to sell?) classified documents in his bathroom (where he's on tape bragging about showing them off to people)... who when asked to please give them back, absolutely refused and they ended up having to come take them forcefully (for which he wasn't even present but then still used to victimize himself). Of course that just scratches the surface with him as far as his crimes and atrocities go but to me personally, those two things are particularly egregious for a president and should immediately disqualify ANYONE from running for public office ever again.

ย

What it seems like to me is the next Democratic candidate is going to have to majorly dumb themselves down in order to be "relatable". That's where we're at now. Kamala being organized and prepared isn't seen as commendable, it's seen as "fake" and "robotic". Meanwhile Trump looking into space and wobbling back and forth to music for 40 minutes at a TOWN HALL, where he should be answering questions or going on an insane rant about eating cats and dogs is something we should just wave our hand at dismissively, smile and say "oh that's just Trump being Trump". No, **** that. Even in this thread, why do we hold him to such an appalingly low standard and the party/Kamala to such a high one? I consider myself to be a fairly optimistic person that tends to see the good in everybody and believe people are innately good for the most part. I was shocked in 2016 when he won but this time I'm not so much shocked as I am incredibly disappointed, sad and angry. Perhaps I'm understanding this way later in life than some and it's always been this way but realizing that basically half of this country really are just vile, selfish people that get off on being assholes is incredibly heartbreaking. The fact he's winning the popular vote this time is like salt in the wound. Then you have a huge chunk that are just nihilistic and want to burn it all down to the ground and he appeals to those people as well. At this point, we deserve what we get. We've had so many potential off ramps from this piece of scum for almost a decade and we very affirmatively decided THIS is the path we want to be on. I hope everyone gets whatever it is they want... but your eggs are still gonna be expensive.ย

ย

Oh and an extra big **** you to Mitch McConnell and Merrick Garland.ย

A coworker at my job voted for the first time in his 30 years of living... for Trump. Before that he was a Bernie bro. I can imagine what lead him from the path of Bernie bro to Trump supporter.ย

I swear there have to be TONS of people like this. The "toxic sexist Bernie bros" rhetoric and the callous, forceful double-dismissal of Bernie's candidacy inadvertently left a gaping vacuum in the political psyche of a generation of young and moderately politically engaged men who had only just begun to be excited for a candidate for the first time in their young lives - and then they became consumed by the right wing podcast/streamer content pipeline that was there waiting to fill that void with a message that both masqueraded as common sense and genuinely reaffirmed their humanity and value, while institutions they perceived as Democratically-aligned hammered home messages that these men felt meant that they were considered essentially subhuman (even if the realities of what people were saying were far more nuanced, that's not what they felt) and now they vote for ******* Donald and winning them back just takes a shift from the Democrats to focus on the issues these men ACTUALLY care about like putting food on the table and feeling like a trip to the emergency room won't be a financial death sentence but they're not going to do that and they're just going to put Shapiro and Buttigieg or Liz Cheney on the 2028 ticket and plug their ears

You think the Dem primary voters would go for Marianne Williamson, sis. :rip:ย

ย

I think them going for Shapiro and giving him a massive landslide in the primary after Clyburn rallies support to him in SC is extremely likely. He is EXACTLY what an establishment-worshipping electorate would adore.

I'm hoping there's a fresh face that emerges within the next 2 years.

ย

Shapiro comes off as an Obama rip-off with no authenticity and frankly too lofty in his rhetoric in this politicalย  climate.

The Dems need a charismatic outsider who can connect with working class men. I don't see anyone in the current field who fits the bill.

I still can't believe he was having an ego contest with DeSantis during the primaries with that flop ass debate they randomly did. :rip:ย ย He sounds like Christian Bale's Batman when he talks and the working class would reject him hard af.ย

The saddest thing for me about this loss is that the party won't learn anything. Shapiro 2028: If he wins, he'll likely flop again after four years, leading to a MAGA resurgence. If he loses, we're probably looking at a Tory-style conservative reign that could take over a decade to break. Damn, maybe I'm being radicalised right nowโ€ฆ We were all so afraid we'd get no more elections, but little did we know we'd keep having themโ€”and Democrats would keep losing. Kamala's loss woke it up, for me.ย
