Ehm Communion and Clash both voted for Harris despite not aligning on her policies at all. So what now? Can we get back to blaming the dems? It's the party's fault.Β

You don't think "their" relentless bashing of Harris multiple times an hour every single day month after month did nothing to tank her campaign?

Β

While, yes, duh, that is a micro level, that same activity was replicated on much larger platforms from actual US Democrats and Russian (and other) foreign trolls. That behavior mattered and had real consequences.Β

We sacrificed all of this for a country that will likely won't exist a year from now. Wow.

Jesus Christ. Stop blaming this on the children that Joe Biden has personally blown to smithereens of bone and sinew.

If republicans pivoted further right after Obama, Dems need to pivot further left after Trump. There's no other wayΒ

Not sure where the leftists failed to meet the moment when we were actively told our vote wasn't needed and that touting Liz Cheney would bring in a more reliable voter cohort. We've been giving warnings about how this would go. I am literally on record saying for MONTHS that abortion wouldn't carry Dems forever and getting bombarded with laugh reacts from DNCBox and downvotes from Teezy.Β
Β

Granted I didn't think the abortion tide would evaporate immediately after 2022. I admit I thought it would at least be the 2026 midterms when voters rioted against Mamala for failing to get Roe revived through a Republican-held Senate.

Β

Like I don't know. I voted for her and she still lost in an embarrassing collapse of 15million Biden voters who chose the couch. How am I, personally, at fault for a deficit of 15 million votes nationally?

If you voted for her, you're not.

Β

People are just scared and venting. It's been a day. Don't take it to heart.

One thing I've been thinking about, I feel that the left has some serious rethinking to do about how they approach the topic of men, and I worry people are too uncomfortable to do that. There's a strong thread of misandry running through leftist messaging that I feel like people ignore or prefer not to address. Speaking as someone who wholly supports feminism as an equality movement, I don't have to dig very deep to find very loud voices that put even me off. This whole thing where people see the male Gen Z population flocking toward alt-right voices, throw their hands up and say, "They all hate women!" as though that's the end of that discussion is clearly reductive.

In Florida? Wait for a catastrophe sadly. In other not Florida places try and build small communities, support you local community and get "new" progressive faces out there that people don't associate with the known democrat party. Don't try to spew spiel from an ivory tower as you make you community better and regular people will notice.Β
Β

As a Floridian myself I do want to try this myself but the results here are so daunting. I do understand why people wouldn't even want to try and just stick to tradition.Β

The average American, sadly, doesn't give a SINGLE **** about Palestine. The polls showed that. The average voter doesn't know nor care about what @CalifornianLeninsta2003 β˜πŸ”» is saying about Kamala. It's like saying ATRL sabotaged the last G20 meeting or something.

Well..... I did vote for Ms. De La Cruz due to being in a deep blue state, but I found that Kamala had different plans for me with that assumption.Β :suburban:

Remember what a huge loser Kamala was in the 2020 primaries? We should have known how unpopular she was.

Doing so badly she dropped out before the first state just to fail upwards into the Vice Presidency because the media forced the candidates to commit to women running mates and then George Floyd's death obliged the party to pick a woman with black heritage. Β Β
Β

The way she was just as bad of a pick as Tim Kaine in the end. Gods.

God I hope the left can do an effective post mortem and regroup. As far as I'm concerned the Democratic Party is dead. They are hated by middle America and rejecting support from the left. They need a total rebrand and someone to unite behind. This was a bit before my time but it seems a bit similar (maybe even worse) to where Republicans were pre-Trump. The right is lucky they were handed Trump into their laps instead of being forced into obscurity.
Β

I do not have faith in Dems to learn anything meaningful. They need to start Democratic leadership from scratch completely and I'm not sure how.Β

Bravo for you to admit that. Hope your fellow far lefties don't turn on you for saying this.Β

Β

And, obviously, I wasn't talking about ATRL specifically but the entire dialogue of Palestine, despite Americans not caring as you just admitted, bled into the real national conversation and pulled Harris down.
