Intellectualism and stats aren't cool anymore. The other side wins because they get on podcasts and yell "OUR WATER IS LITERALLY POISON!!!"

ย Now that the election is over, can we make an effort to not use X/Twitter? Why use Elons platform?ย

Oh god, thank you :jonny:ย

Much worse DNC chair than Tom Perez and Debbie Wasserman Schultz combined, and I didn't think that was possible

It would be such a massive mistake for Dems to run anyone who has any sort of name recognition right now. Literally all the old faces of the party need to go away at this point. And this isn't blaming all of them, but I feel like it's the only way forward in a country where the people distrust every institution and want to tear everything down.

ย

That said, I can't even begin to think about strategizing for 2026 or 2028 right now. I'm too numb.

wouldn't a new face possibly increase the whole "unknown canidate" questions? Im all for new people but I thought the reason why people voted for biden back in 2020 was cause of name recognitionย

I see the argument, but then you hand it over to the other side. I don't know what to do personally.

The democratic establishment is out of touch, but so are the online left. Go into any twitch/kick chat that has 100K+ viewers and it's apparent how culturallyย conservative and radicalized young men are compared to 10 years ago.ย
ย

It is not about a single policy that will court these voters, it is about a platform that allows them to be against wokeism.ย

The onslaught of anti-left hysteria that follows the loss of an election can sometimes read as a bit bizarre to me. Like I understand why her/Biden's administration has severed the trust of some of its potential voters, but beyond the face value of that, it's interesting to see so many other social issues cast aside.ย I don't think it's out of the question to potentially see more human rights protections be overturned by the Supreme Court and/or for Trump to miss his (personally) unrealistic economy projections. I want a ceasefire in the Middle East as much as everyone else, but sometimes I find it interesting to see the way Kamala was penalised for not doing or saying something to the standards that people wanted her to, despite the fact her running mate wasn't saying or talking about taking those actions either. And he's now talking about actually giving Israel a bigger push to wipe out Gaza altogether, and potentially other countries in the Middle East. I try not to be someone to berate other peoples political opinions, but I just find it to be interesting.

You mean like the ones Democratic governors and mayors deployed to arrest pro-Palestine protestors, protestors whom Kamala and Biden labeled as antisemitic?ย :cm:
