We were so sure that he'd be repellent to swing voters with his couch fucker vibes and he actually did no damage to Trump's viability at all. ย Lmao can we stop listening to everyone's take on why it happened? Anyone can make up reasons now that we have hindsight, and now it sounds like everyone's trying to shoehorn their ideas in to justify it. For fucks sake this current democratic party is TOO LIBERAL for republicans and we don't need any more of that. Unfortunately (and I HATE to say it) but the only way for democrats to win the next presidential race is to nominate your friendly white cis male who is appealing enough for republicans to vote for him as well. America is not a democratic country it used to be and it is not progressive in any way. Democrats won't win with the liberal policies and that is UNFORTUNATE but we need to come to terms with that. They always choose the wrong path and when they get it right(harris & walz's "weird" slogan) they run it back and are chastised by the old guard for "lacking decorum." ย The problem, as it was in 2016, is the failure of liberalism to address the fascist beacon. Yep I agree with this and this tweet is similar. These couch jokes and eating the dogs memes backfired. ย ย

He's pretty popular on Tiktok. He gives his recaps in general terms about what's going on in congress and the state of politics. Gen Z seems to like him. Only bad thing they turned on him because he voted for the Tiktok ban when his main platform is the app. I think they like him again, I don't know.ย

If someone wasn't saying this **** before the results came out, take what they say with a grain of salt. The Democrats literally emasculated JD Vance and called him a couch fucker on live television. Tim Walz made it a punchline at the DNC to raucous laughter and applause. But for the electorate, it has provably gone over like a lead balloon. JD Vance's favorables even went from a massive deficit to breaking even after the VP debate. ย I'm not just pulling random anecdotes out of my ass here. I really do think we read the public perception of Vance completely wrong and we look completely deranged to the general public after the genuinely deranged things that were insinuated about him. If anything, it fuels the victim complex white men have about being shunned from society. Chasing the young 4chan incel vote paid off, as much as we made fun of Trump for it.
