Young voters have Joe Rogan and so many other influencers that are very active in politics. They are discussing politics on every possible platform in a way that is accessible to them.Β Β There is not this same system set up for Democrats.Β Absolutely. There are so many more conservative voices in pop culture compared 2016, and they're probably far more effective than all of the celebs we stan, who are if anything at times a disadvantage Β 1

Stop saying "we need the Black vote, the Latino vote". You actually need the white centrist vote to win! They voted in droves for Obama and Bill Clinton. And perhaps Biden (sort of). The Democratic party are perceived in America as this lefty, elite party that caters to minorities. And you just won't win that way. Β The Democratic party needs to stand for average working class people first and foremost. After that, then we can talk. The entire campaign was about centrists and Cheney RepublicansΒ 3

Next time they're in power they need to invest in civics and economics classes for everyone atp Β
Virgos Groove Posted November 6 Posted November 6 This feels like 1979 UK/1980 US tbh. Massive realignment to the right, new wave of young conservatives, distrust over how Labour/Dems run the economy, and those parties stay out of power for a long time. If it's like in the UK, Dems won't see power until 16 to 20 years from now.

Trent W Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Waking up to a Trump victory is insane, but well this was predictableΒ Β The Biden administration was catastrophic for the economy, Kamala was just a last minute replacement and part of a very bad term Β I think Trump winning the popular vote indicates how desperate people are for a change in the way the economy is. Cause no one can afford **** and for the general public republicans are the good ones with money(they aren't). Β But I think a lot of people thinking they will grow business under Trump is one of the main reasons he wonΒ Β I do worry about minorities in this country, this man is a menace and seems to have all the clear paths politically to do damage.
