Conservative states have already passed laws requiring porn sites to check IDs before allowing access, and many of these sites have essentially shut down in those states because of it. :rip: VPNs are going to be a necessity going forward, I fear.

well I actually agree with this lol

Well I can admit I was super wrong about this election.

I don't know where the left (from leftists to progressives to moderates) go from here, with the Senate and Supreme Court locked up for god knows how long.

For some reason, I'm not like angry/scared the way I was during the first time. You can already feel what the writing on the wall is.

why is it so hard to see the misogyny when we are at a time where we as women don't have a bodily human right?

Latino men ran to vote for trump like morons, it's not offensive to state the obvious

Black men voted basically the same as 2020, it's not productive to scapegoat them, although it's been leading up to that anyways for over a month now

Idk what the hell happened with Latinos:deadbanana2:

Now lord knows i have beef with the atrl left, but leftists are not responsible for the electorate shifting like 5 points to the right. No amount of online Jill Stein propaganda can do something like that. Hang it UP girls I've had it :deadbanana2:I hope my fellow libs can back me up on this 1

This 100% happened. Lefties really killed this election for Harris.

Ehh, I wouldn't agree. If it was closer and the shift to right wasn't as uniform across the country, maybe. But the right AND center wanted Dump; there aren't any 'lefties' to counteract that.

- Inflation has been far worse during the Biden administration, up 20.1% over the first 45 months of Biden's term compared to 7.1% during Trump's first 45 months, according to the government's consumer price index. That equates to annualized inflation rates of 5.4% under Biden and 1.9% under Trump, which Biden has blamed on COVID-19's lingering impact and the Russia-Ukraine war.

- Job market: Both Biden and Trump oversaw strong labor markets. Since Biden took office, overall employment is up 12%, average pay is up 19% and unemployment is down from 6.7% to 4.1%. It was particularly a sign of strength that job growth and sub-4% unemployment have coincided with interest rate increases and a subsiding in inflation, both of which typically hurt the labor market, though the U.S. employment picture has shown some cracks in recent months. Perhaps Trump's most impressive labor market feats were unemployment declining from 4.7% to as low as 3.5% in late 2019 and early 2020, which tied its lowest level since 1969 and wages growing by an inflation-beating 15% over his four-year term.

- The COVID jobs asterisk: Much of the Biden labor market gains are part of the post-pandemic recovery, as unemployment was just 3.5% in Feb. 2020 and the number of employed Americans is up only 4%. Biden has largely focused on the Covid-skewed data points, and Trump's labor market performance depends strictly on the cutoff date, as the COVID-19 disruption undid much of the nominal progress

- Stock market: Stocks performed better under Trump, though both presidencies coincided with stronger-than-average gains—the S&P 500 index has posted an annualized return of 12.6% since Biden and Harris took office in 2021, compared to 16.3% under Trump (and there most certainly hasn't been the stock market crash under Biden that his opponent forecasted in the 2020 race).

- Consumer health: Consumer sentiment was lower last month than it ever was under Trump, according to the University of Michigan's widely tracked survey, as Americans continue to feel the aftershocks of inflation despite strong headline economic growth numbers and a record stock market. September's 4.6% personal savings rate, which measures the percentage of Americans' income left over after expenses and taxes, was two-thirds of September 2019's 7%. The savings rate never fell below 5% under Trump.

trump had Obama's administration genius, wtf did Biden get from Trump? a global pandemic?

Please don't blame lefties y'all. At the end of the day this comes down to Biden clinging on to power and choosing to run in 2024 instead of stepping aside. There was simply no time for a primary by the time his old ass dropped out. And in all honestly Kamala shouldn't have agreed to do this if she wasn't gonna completely break away from Biden.

So, one more Senate seat flips and the Republicans can even pass what they want without having to rely on Murkowski and Snow.

Democrats need to start working on their rebrand NOW!!!!! Start looking for some young, charming, good looking white guy to become the face of the party. Bonus points if he has a country twang to his voice.

Unfortunate state of our country rn

The polls being so off once again after so many pollsters reportedly tried to "correct" 2020 and 2022 errors is very frustrating. Rosen, Slotkin, Casey all poised to lose and Gallego only ahead by 60k with 40% more votes to count… I'm so over it.

Like they're nearly 20 points different from Latina Women (who also shifted right), that's unfathomable

If they want to win 2028 Josh Shapiro is the best candidate, if he does a good job as Governor of Pennsylvania that would be detrimental as it is basically the most crucial state to win

Gretchen should've ran this year, but I don't see her going for 2028, America is not ready for a female president unfortunately

J. B. Pritzker would be great but idk i don't really see it for him

ignore me and lemme escape reality till 2028:toofunny2:

I honestly think it all comes down to misogyny with a bit of racism, if it were a straight white man who ran the exact campaign that Kamala ran then they would be in the White House.

She was also too linked to the baggage of the Biden administration, the narrative of being better off under Trump was simply too strong. Abortion was not the issue that we thought it would be in this election.

Bar a few things I honestly can't fault Kamala, the electorate has shifted far too right for anyone adopting progressive policies to have a strong chance.

Its a devastating result but the left must coalesce in opposition and ensure they dismantle the MAGA movement as it doesn't end with Trump.

Also I wouldn't be too surprised if Thomas and Alito retire the bench so Trump can replace them with some 40 something radical judges, hope Sotamayor can hold on…

Harris did as good of job as she could have. Behind the scenes they must've seen this rightward trend. Which explains some of the moderation she did on some issues

could you imagine what A Biden loss would've been 💀 at least she hopefully helped get some house Dems over the finish line

Porn is the one of the biggest industries out there, and America is a corporatocracy. There's also the fact that porn is a huge driving factor for the desumanization of women that drives young men towards the far-right.

Porn, at least the big porn studios, should be banned, but they won't do it.

What are you not getting. They. Don't. Care.

Republicans would never take an action that could damage their position with their base? They do this ALL THE TIME.

They run on dismantling benefits despite the fact conservative states are the biggest benefactor, they were obsessed with dismantling Obamacare despite it being overwhelmingly used and valued by their base, they outlawed abortion which should have destroyed them with Women,

Every bad scenario being brought up in this thread has a very real chance of happening. Wake up already.

Morning Joe still trying to blame Black men & calling them misogynist for why Kamala lost:skull:

The left and libs won't admit they was wrong tho, they gonna quietly go back to "all men" messaging even tho we can specifically name which groups of men was voting for Trump.

The left got a Black man problem, shocker.

I have certainly had my clashes against the "far left" Democrat hating vibe etc. but they ARE NOT to be blamed for this. At all.

I think leftists have a women problem, tbh.  Maybe they're the true misogynists

I kept saying this too. It was clear the way they spoke about her vs Trump. Hindsight is 2020
