Now let's see the silver lining here..

This will be the last term of TRUMP, if he wont forcely extend his term this means that Republicans will have to send a new Presidential Candidate for 2028

I dont think any of the Republicans are as famous or infamous to lock the 2028 Presidency, no?

There won't be another election. Republicans are projected to have control of the house and the senate. This is the end.

Is it the type of ''masculine'' gays, that are desperately trying to fit in with the straights?

Yeah I think most are the masc type. A big portion of them are in Florida. It's crazy because I know damn well a lot of those do NOT speak English so they are immigrants too.

I just hope those who wrote in for shits & giggles, voted 3rd party or just didn't bother at all will realize what the hell just happened...

The third party votes wouldn't even save Kamala in the popular vote margin. Enough.

Will the Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennslyvania senate seats all go to the republicans as well? :rip:

People looking for a post Mortem and blaming voters.

The democrats failed. The writing was on the wall for the last year. The people good grievances about;

Harris not having a primary.

Dems covering up Biden's decline.

Coalition break offs from minorities, progressives and Arabs due to handling of Palestine.
Dems fundamentally dislike republicans - yet the campaign poached and actively promoted being Republican lite by touring with a Cheney.

Harris offered glitz, glam, celebrities and more of the same.

The Dem coalition is fractured and it's their own doing. It's not ATRL user clashandburns fault :deadbanana4:

Yeah great points. Kamala's entire campaign was only based on how bad Trump is, that's it. No personality of her own whatsoever.

Some people keep downplaying how important charisma is when electing a leader in places like the US. I keep hearing that people voted for Trump because they liked the message and not the messenger, but a lot of people voted for Trump because of him being exactly the way he is.

The dems need to offer an actual alternative to conservatism or continue to decline into an abyss of irrelevance.

B-b-but if Jill Stein was never born maybe Kamala would've only lost by 4 million votes?

I read an article in the NYT about how as religion takes more of a backseat in American culture, politics are becoming a more core part of a person's identity.  Podcasters, cultural influencers, etc are taking the roles of priests and spiritual leaders.

The fact Joe Rogan is the north star for so many men is absolutely terrifying.

This isn't the actual cause of the problem, as a minority I saw my people just vote for trump for no other reason than stupidity. Trump is blatantly a dictator, yet in interviews you see them still cling on to the fact he was a business man, that women were too emotional to be president and how trump apparently did so much for us. America has slowly gotten dumb af, the gop had started messing with schools years ago and it's showing bad.

Covid also showed how selfish people are and how we would pay any amount to a corporation no matter how inflated it was. Trump is completely backed by billionaires, they have been building this for years

The only thing that gives me some hope is that I am one who believes that the establishment is just that and either party is part of it and it's obviously just a farce to divide people and give them the feeling that they get to choose. So maybe the worst case scenario needed to happen in order for some actual/real change to occur in the future idk.

I just feel like that already happened in 2016... and was hoping that we're past that by now, but I guess the worst is yet to come maybe. I thought we hit rock bottom, but clearly not.

The voters are to blame. Why should anyone have to convince you to NOT vote for the felon rapist?

2026 Senate map looks even worse by the way. Definitely losing Ossoff, no matter whether or not his opponent is Kemp or Marjorie Taylor Greene. Gary Peters probably loses given how Michigan is going today.

Other vulnerable Dems include Jeanne Shaheen (NH), Tina Smith (MN), and Mark Warner (VA) - which depends how vindictive Democrats are over him "railroading Joe Biden"

They all ran well in 2020, but the environment has changed a lot since then, so I don't think any Dem senators I've listed are safe. Especially if apathy and despair sets in like I think it will. I think there will be a more defeatist response to Trump this time, especially since he's winning the popular vote and has a very clear mandate.

you all still thinking your going to have the privilege of voting ever again

We need to stop praising democracy like it's a gift from above. Clearly it's a tool for the majority to oppress minorities. If we want to survive, we need to learn to defend ourselves and find strength from within, regardless of whether who we are or what we think is accepted or not.

Yes. There is no more organizing. We must build power now, not just community.

One thing the hardcore leftists and steiners were right about, is that a Trump win is a chance to reset. We can't trust Democrats to do anything other than go further right after this. So we need to learn how to build pockets of power and then rework on taking over the Democrat seed of power on a cultural level once the people most at risk have stabilized.

Its because we have completely ceded masculinity and every masculine hobby to the right wing. Gaming, gym going, sports, wrestling, shooting, fishing, ... Everything. It's all linked to right wing politics in a more direct way than ever before.

This is also true of the right wing and say, music or the arts - which they have ceded to the left. But men care about their hobbies more (including all of us with our music! lol), and I think this has been a not insigificant factor in how gen z men have been lost.

Its more than that. Not to sound dramatic but I think parents have ceded their responsibilities and young guys have found community in these online spaces that exist on their phones like Twitch and Youtube full of agitators and trolls that spew hateful rhetoric and espouse fake masculinity. I game with these guys and it's true that an entire generation of straight young guys has been lost, they just parrot the latest conspiracies about trans people and dream of becoming the next Nickmercs or Dr. Disrespect.
