Biden's presidency wasn't even horrible though? Lol. It's just illiterate people who think he "opened the border and raised prices."

Bidens aPproval ratings were horrific. Why do you think they forced him to drop out?

Oddly enough I feel like the next president to come after Trump will be a WOMAN and say this because I predict that Trump will run this country into the ground so bad in fact that people will be wanting to vote in a woman to clean up the mess that he left behind.

she's going to get glass cliffed.

F*ck the fascist MAGA supporters and f*ck the third party voters, ugh, we're so ******Β :biblionny:

What baffles me is the sheer amount who believed and trusted Trump with their vote. They really think he's gonna be good for the country, that's more alarming in and of itself to me than Trump winning.

Β

I'm not gonna indulge too much in the results because the doom and gloom is high right now, but good luck to whoever comes next (if there even will be more elections in the years to come nnnn) with trying and dismantling the absolute lies and fabrications him and the Republican Party managed to convince people to be reality. It's not going to be easy.

We'll get thru it again sistrens. We sadly can't change the outcome. Sending positive vibes to everyone. I prepared myself mentally since earlier this year so not surprised this country showed their true colors again. It was nice to have some hope tho.Β

I have always held back expressing this sentiment too strongly in front of a bunch of Americans but uh... yeah. Thanks for expressing my true thoughts for meΒ :suburban:

I'm currently in IDGAF mode lol. The idea that a bunch of backward thinking, uneducated hillbillies' votes in the middle of nowhere have so much power and influence is a depressing thought to say the least

Is anyone else watching the victory speech? It's a godamn disaster. How is this man gonna be president for 4 yearsΒ :suburban:

I have a feeling he's gonna be in 6 months tops and he'll have another scandal for impeachment or do something stupid on the world stage to get the US in some mess and they will get him out Β and bring in VanceΒ

I honestly don't get it. It's one thing to argue over policyβ€”sure, people have different views on how things should be run, and that's cool. But what blows my mind is seeing people gravitate towards groups that just hate others for not being white, male, straight, or rich. Like, how is that okay?

Β

If every racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic person is aligning with one political side… isn't that a massive red flag? I used to want to believe that deep down, people don't just hate other humans for being different. But looking around at who's in power, it feels like that hate and fear have become normal. Now we're stuck in a world run by insecure, bigoted menβ€”think Trump, Putin, Netanyahu, Kim Jong-un. It's beyond depressing.

Β

Am I alone in feeling this way? It'd be nice to believe we're better than this, but right now, it's hard to see.

Β

I guess if you're a white billionaire, then the world is yours...too bad it sucks for the rest of us.

Why is the President of the USA doing a SpaceX ad as part of his victory speech?

Because he has zero guardrails now. He's letting anybody inside the circle who will kiss his ass. Elon will probably be in his cabinet now or something.Β

Sure, but that's partially because people decided that inflation caused from post-Covid policies (which turned out better than other comparable countries) was Biden's fault or due to some democratic incompetence. I'm just saying he didn't actually do a terrible job as president.

He's a populist he was able to appeal directly to voters and address real world issues that they are facing and made promises to fix those issues (which we know he won't do). Democrats failed at the populist messaging, they focused on the wrong things. Ultimately people voted with their wallets and everything else was inconsequential.

To be fair, his handling of covid, followed by the recession, followed by Jan 6th was as disastrous as could be imagined and yet here we are.

I agree, but he successfully politicized them to his bases to where they basically became schrodinger's cats. His handling of COVID was simultaneously a disaster that killed people and caused inflation, and a political rallying cry for American freedom. The insurrection was simultaneously a scary attempt at a fascist takeover, and an attempt made by real patriots to take back their stolen country.Β

Β

We need him to f*ck up the country all by himself.Β
