I know we already went through this in 2016, but this is just ****ing depressing. As a minority living in a (once again) red state, this is exhausting. It's also terrifying, but that will come tomorrow. Right now I'm literally just tired.ย

Throwback to when I said that the Men (including Dems leaning) will probably not vote for a woman

Well I'll laugh when Trump runs the country to the ground next year and MAGA faces the horrible consequences.:gaycat5:

USA government is cancer to world peace, and I hope it's going down starting from Trump administration.

Latinos coming to support Trump that much doesn't sit right with meโ€ฆ this man is kind of unifying America in a weird wayย :rip:

Latinos are religious and conservative. My parents don't like Kamala because she supports abortion and that's the only reason. These people are set in their ways.ย ย :skull:

I genuinely think that, ironically, the best thing to come out of his re-election would be for the economy and then the country to go to ****. Something so messy and undeniable that it stains not just Trump, but the entire party for years.ย

ย

The entire reason he won is because Republicans across decades have successfully convinced the populace that they're the best for economics, and it is both a genuine concern and a perfect talking point to hide behind for voters. I know multiple people who posted stuff on social media like "my groceries were 200 bucks, I'm voting for Trump idc if he's mean". The only way the public at large will have that reckoning is if their lives and the state of the country undeniably get worse under him (in ways that would affect them) so the conversation and perceptions can get shifted.

ย

MAGA will never get stomped out if it's a mixed-to-negative bag. It needs to be a disaster.

To be fair, his handling of covid, followed by the recession, followed by Jan 6th was as disastrous as could be imagined and yet here we are.

Tbh I feel relieved in a way. At least I will never have to deal with or hear about Trump after these 4 years. I'm definitely going off grid and NOT listening to political content during that time. I cannot take 24/7 coverage of Trump again.

Yikes.

ย

America decisively went hard right, and here we were arguing day in and day out that we needed to push Harris to the left. Good luck to all of us.

Soon those who didn't bother to vote or voted third party will read the room and will start to protestโ€ฆย

Idk what's going to be more annoying (other trump setting fire to the nation yet again)... Blue MAGA blaming everyone else to the left of them or Blue MAGA acting like they care about **** like Gaza (like BLM) once Trump is the one doing the bombing?

:suburban:

OP tweet is Palestinian btw.ย

The fact that Joe Rogan may have done more for Trump than Taylor Swift did for Kamala is justย :rip:

In the end, it all comes down to people's walletsโ€ฆ

ย

I can't even hope for the next 4 years to fly by because someone even worse can come after him.

Congrats to the lefties who torpedoed Josh Shapiro from being VP because apparently PA was safe, snubbing him would all but secure MI and that Waltz would bring all those midwestern and progressive votes. Amazing political insight as alwaysย :clap3:

Sad, but in no way surprised. Biden's administration was a mess from the start and deep down I never really thought she had a huge chance, it always felt like two steps forward, three steps back
ย

thanks everyone for sharing great information and discussion here the last several years. I'm here for any support or to give space considering how a lot of us are probably feeling right now.

A quick reminder for everyone as this election day finally dawns. Deep breaths and do not over stress yourselves. Nothing is permanent, especially in politics. Remain hopeful no matter what. Regardless of the results, believe that its for the best in the long run and don't be disheartened. You truly lose only when you give up. Remember, you do your best and the rest is not in your control. Nothing is permanent, especially not a 4 year presidency by an old narcissist, on this floating rock that we call home. Remember your own values and continue to lead your lives with your humanity (and progressive and inclusive values). Relax. Believe whatever happens, happens for the bestย becauseย good people continue the good fight and make the most of situations. Sending everyone love and luck and good vibes. Enjoy it, we are witnessing and experiencing a historic election in real time. So settle in, share drinks, memes, blunts, laughs and tears but also remember to let the tension lift, and remember to find the lightness no matter the outcome. Don't take anything too serious.ย

ย

ย

A reminder to everyone. It's okay. We will survive. Dems need soul searchingย

I can't BELIEVE this loser did it again!

I KNEW his ass should've been thrown UNDER the jail as soon as Biden got his powers. This could've all been avoided, my head is concave. :monkey:

It's going to reinforce the Republicans to keep going that way, you'll get a spin off it in 10 years of another idiot with the same rhetoric.ย
