Yet another reminder that America is not a 50/50 country, it's a Republican country at its core that leans centre sometimes. I can't believe that in 2024 America is not ready for a female president, but they're not. Much less a Black female president. You think that most people think like us because we appear to make up most of the public discourse (the internet, entertainment, arts & culture, education) but they don't. There is an enormous silent majority out there and sure as hell they came through again tonight.

Welp, another Trump presidency. It's privileged to say that I will be fine in California, but people in other states... not so much and it is gonna be 10x worse. I work for a federally-funded program and I have a feeling the budget is gonna decrease due to the administration. I think I'll just be blunt, the Democratic Party didn't host a caucus or a primary and that is what ****** them over. I was confident about Kamala, but there is a misogynistic problem in America that also played the part.

Just keep in mind that mail in ballots are the last to be counted and it's mostly democrats that do that. Trump was leading for quite a while in 2020 before Biden overtook him. Definitely anxiety-inducing, but it's not over yet

Not undeserved, since she contributed to covering up his mental decline. As did the entire rest of the administration. When they should have 25th Amendment'ed him a year ago.

I knew the registration numbers were a redflag.

The GOP was outflanking the Dems in terms of new registrants. I wouldnt be surprised if these new registrants were the ones that brought it home tonight for Dump.
