BOOMBAYAH Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Lost the popular vote, the electoral vote, and the Senate—this marks the worst Democratic loss in decades. Pray for America, and for the world. A Democratic win in America could have slowed or even reversed the global shift to the right, but a Trump victory will only fuel it. Who knows where the world is headed now. 5
Invincibles Posted November 6 Posted November 6 According to Associated Press 210 for Harris 247 for Trump 81 votes to be called I just don't see how Trump doesn't win this? This is so sad. Wow.
FELT Posted November 6 Posted November 6 28 minutes ago, Mr. Mendes said: If he wins this time he can't run again. That'd be his second term. Unless he changes that. I wouldn't put that past him. He's got the backing of the Supreme Court after all. Let's hope his age catches up with him.
wastedpotential Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) This is the first popular vote loss for the democrats since what... Bush 04, when the Dems were running a **** candidate and were still coming off the headwinds of 9/11? And before that it was Bush Sr.'s post-Reagan reverberation 1984, 1988, 2004, and 2024 being the only elections in the past 50 years where Republicans have won the popular vote And it's maybe a trifecta Edited November 6 by wastedpotential
Velvet Night Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Just woke up and I'm sick to my stomach! Wtf America!
americanlife Posted November 6 Posted November 6 lowkey why is this surprising because no one liked Kamala before July and then all of a sudden people switched like f on her but the polls literally said this was a toss up. Realistically we're in for a mess but we will make it through (The Rain.mp3).
monologueNacafe Posted November 6 Posted November 6 This ******* site! and I can't believe Selzer was off 17 points
skwonderfactory Posted November 6 Posted November 6 UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BOOMBAYAH Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Conservative supreme court for another generation... think about that...
MusicLoverDude Posted November 6 Posted November 6 This is outright depressing. Glad to at least live in California but this entire country is never going to be the same.
Cruel Summer Posted November 6 Posted November 6 A popular vote loss against a convicted felon, actual rapist, and accused child rapist who believes huge swaths of the country to be nothing more than vermin and who wants to impose policies that subjugate women and critically endanger LGBT people and various minorities. I don't even have any special feelings against Kamala as a candidate, but the modern pseudo-conservative neoliberal Democratic Party has utterly and completely failed. Its only hope to recover this nation is to shift left economically and in terms of domestic and foreign policy while somehow making inroads with demographics like young men who perceive the left as demonizing them. Y'all, I truly think we're ******* cooked. 7
Walk_Away21 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 SCREAMING fire this woman into the sun "Pollster J. Ann Selzer: 'I'll be reviewing data' after Iowa Poll misses big Trump win"
commander Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Americans really said yes to another 2016 all over again and that was definitely a CHOICE. All I have to say is good luck, babe.
Mitsouko Posted November 6 Posted November 6 The fact that the internet's premiere stan forum can't handle an election thread… OT: Moving to Switzerland or sumn
yourfaveisaflop Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It's not looking good. What is more shocking is my state chose Ted Cruz again worms for brains
RihRihGirrrl Posted November 6 Posted November 6 John King showed a map of the counties/states hardest hit by inflation....it really makes it clear how much of a hurdle Harris/Dems would've had to cross to overcome that issue But the gains that Trump made with Latinos is just insane 1
ImpressMeMuch Posted November 6 Posted November 6 The number of toss ups fked by Jill stein votes not that it should be this close to begin with… but how's that "BLUE MAGA!!!" crowd feeling rn… 1 2 2
ClashAndBurn Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I haven't been able to break through to get into this website all night. Anyway, my state's been called for Trump, and it looks like my vote didn't even matter. I feel... numb. I voted for the pro-genocide candidate just for her to go ahead and lose anyway. Anyway, the Dems are going to go even more to the right on every issue due to exit polls saying Kamala and the party were too liberal, most likely. Abortion didn't matter at all for getting Dems over the finish line outside of 2022 (which... I did say abortion couldn't carry them forever). Trump looks like he's winning the popular vote. Which... I remember saying he was poised to win the popular vote due to Joe Biden's massive unpopularity, and I was mocked for saying so. It seems my analysis was right all along, and it doesn't make me feel happy to say so.
