I can't be arsed to read the last twenty pages. Are we in the "it's over" or the "we are so back" part of the night?

Wait what? Certain states decided the outcome?ย :deadbanana4:ย What does that meanย

Because they are the swing states. Some states like California or New York are always blue, some like Alabama or Florida are always red. So in the end, the fate of the election comes down to whoever the swing states vote for

but he feels confident on Pennsylvania. Saying so far she's performing well in republican counties in PA.

nevermind he recants his call for GA but he's still not confident in GA.

Why is a swing state have so much power?

ChatGPT:

ย

Swing states, also known as battleground states, are important in U.S. elections because they can vote for either the Democratic or Republican candidate. Unlike "safe" states, where one party has a clear majority, swing states are competitive and can be won by either party. This makes them crucial in determining the outcome of presidential elections.

In the U.S., the president is elected through the Electoral College, where each state has a certain number of votes. Winning swing states often decides who gets the necessary majority of Electoral College votes to become president. Therefore, candidates spend a lot of time and resources campaigning in these states to win their support.

It's not a difference of opinion though while I do understand your viewpoint. That particular member is making inflammatory and baseless remarks to troll and garner reactions to their posts. This election night discussion could benefit with more interesting and insightful posts from members like yourself. I really hope moderation is keeping an eye on things in this thread regardless of your viewpoint on this matter.

My response to this is to report stuff. Mentioning me in posts is harder for the entire staff to make decisions on as a collective. I personally try to abstain from making decisions independently in this thread because I'm too involved to be objective (unless someone clearly violates the ZTP). So, please report instead. This thread is also so fast moving that a mention is likely to slip through my notifications.
