brazil Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The US election is such a mess, days to finish counting, electoral colleges which means votes in most states basically dont count, winner of popular vote dont necessarily winย ย Meanwhile in Brazil: fully eletronic and auditable vote, all votes count the same and the results are out in the same evening ย 3 8 1

Some of us are old enough to remember elections where everyone was already celebrating a blue Florida because of promising looking early turnout "data", only for none of it to matter.ย ย I know this won't change some people's minds, but I really encourage everyone to just wait for the actual results and stop trying to read the tea leaves based on how many people are voting at certain times and in certain places. That type of "analysis" can be incredibly misleading, subjective and anecdotal. Preserve your mental health, we'll need the stamina for actual results.ย @khalyan threadban it 3
Prisoner Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Jimmy Carter was the last dem president to get Blue texas and this is definitely his last election, God will grant him one more Blexas. I don't think this is a coincidence ย ย 2 7
Beyonnaise Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I'm seeing way more Capitol Police and blocked off streets around downtown DC. Let me go buy some extra High Noons for the bunker ย ย 1

I remember photos of vast lines of a "youth quake" voting, it was assumed probably correctly, for Jeremy Corbyn in London in 2019, and how it meant the polls were wrong etc etc etc. ย He got crushed. ย I'd ignore all local anecdotes till they actually start counting, if only for the sake of sanity. Radical Pessimism Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I'm focusing on PA for Kamala because if she wins that state it's over for Trump! ย

Mariano Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Back in 2020 when u google US Elections there was a map with live results, now I don't see it, is there something similar any of u can link me to where I see all the states and the results as they are being counted?
anti-bitch Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I'm a white gay, but can we give the credit to who it's due: Black people, especially Black Women, have saved the Democrats' ass so many times, and they will do it again today! 10 2

If you mean Google's own tracker, it may just go up a bit later, closer to when results outside of that one little six-person town start to come in.
