Redstreak Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I know it doesn't mean anything but betting sites moving back to Trump this morning are making me nervousย 1
Thuggin Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Voted in an urban area and the line was so short but I was talking to my co-workers who live in the suburbs and they were talking about how long their lines wereย ย I hope urban turnout isn't too much lower than last time, because it seems like rural turnout is kicking ass. May come down to how the suburbs vote 1 2

So I don't think it chips away really. Also dems moved out in droves to places like Virginia, Colorado and massย ย A lot Rs moving from D states would be fine if the two D states you mention saw higher D returns as a result but that's not what's happening. NYC especially tilted weirdly to the right in the midterms.ย 1
Bears01 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Stay away from the pure doom numbers: FL ย the not great numbers: AZย ย And focus on the Hopium numbers like PA andโฆNV ย 2 1
Thuggin Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Okay I'm scared now. Can't believe a man who's likely to lose the popular vote a third time might be President again. Let me log off and focus on work maybe. ย 2
ctlp27 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Honestly, just the hope of never hearing again from Him would be the biggest incentive to vote Harris. Aren't people exhausted? It's been 9 years non stop. 8

That you're ruining your own experience of election day by not being able to compartmentalize criticisms of who you're voting for. By virtue of being on the side of an issue that is ontollogically evil - which people are trying to express sympathy and grace on due to the emotional reality of it - it's a needless escalation to not just keep scrolling.ย ย ย I get why emotions are high and why it may feel incendiary toย see anyone express anger at Harris. The reality though is that those upset over genocide probably have more justification to their anger and the path to least conflict is in recognizing that and not having the ego to take it in stride.ย ย No one's vote is going to change because of how anyone preached on ATRL. If a post doesn't inspire joy in you, you should just pretend you do not see it for everyone's sanity.ย ย I for one will only be engaging in whatever inspires joy for the rest of the day. I'm not reading all of this but I did read your last line and I agree!ย 11 1

TROPICUM Posted November 5 Posted November 5 ย ย but magas told me democrats would not show up on EDay to have a shot at winning back Nevada ย ย 1
PartyFavor Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The earlier parts of today will show republican votes way ahead of democratic votes. This is due to more democrats voting via mail-in ballots and are counted later. Republicans tend to vote in person and are counted in real-time. ย Dont rely too much on early numbers.

woohoo Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Florida was never happening and AZ was a long shot. Just focus on WI and NC and GA. I'm getting nervous again myself all those states are wayyyyy to close.ย

He may not run for President again but I'd imagine he's gonna continue being a major figure in th Republican Party and we won't stop hearing about him till he diesโฆ..so like maybe another two years or so?

Popular Post shelven Posted November 5 Popular Post Posted November 5 nnnn you can tell who's closely followed a US election day before and who hasn't based on who's hyper-analyzing turnout numbers at 11am Eastern. Some of us are old enough to remember elections where everyone was already celebrating a blue Florida because of promising looking early turnout "data", only for none of it to matter.ย ย I know this won't change some people's minds, but I really encourage everyone to just wait for the actual results and stop trying to read the tea leaves based on how many people are voting at certain times and in certain places. That type of "analysis" can be incredibly misleading, subjective and anecdotal. Preserve your mental health, we'll need the stamina for actual results.ย 15 1
