As someone in Florida a lot of the republicans who moved here are from democratic states like California and New York. So I don't think it chips away really. Also dems moved out in droves to places like Virginia, Colorado and mass

Keep an eye on Philly turnout.

500k in person votes today equals 2020 turnout. As of 10:30ish AM EST, they're already at ~262k :clap3:

I think this is how Ann Selzer's D+3 prediction happened. Republicans all moving to Florida, covid killing mainly Republicans, etc. may start to chip away Republican vote in key swing states and maybe even make red states playable in the near future.

I mean it is truly insane going from a 1 point swing state to R+10 in 8 years? It's truly the California for republicans. I mean I think desantis is vile and Trump but they love them there. I feel bad for the left leaning minority tho. They need to get out if they have the financial means. Hurricanes and maga? I'd be long gone

If you post in this forum, you're gonna get responded to.

And I'm telling you this is simply not a debate those defending Harris can be on the right side of. That you're ruining your own experience of election day by not being able to compartmentalize criticisms of who you're voting for. By virtue of being on the side of an issue that is ontollogically evil - which people are trying to express sympathy and grace on due to the emotional reality of it - it's a needless escalation to not just keep scrolling.

I get why emotions are high and why it may feel incendiary to see anyone express anger at Harris. The reality though is that those upset over genocide probably have more justification to their anger and the path to least conflict is in recognizing that and not having the ego to take it in stride.

No one's vote is going to change because of how anyone preached on ATRL. If a post doesn't inspire joy in you, you should just pretend you do not see it for everyone's sanity.

I for one will only be engaging in whatever inspires joy for the rest of the day.:suburban:

What are we looking at?

I'm still most worried about Wisconsin as the weakest link in the Blue wall. We need them to come through

I haven't moved cuz I'm poor lol, moving is so hard. But if I do I'd move to Colorado eek! But as I said before, the more republican south Florida has gotten the worse it's become. I always think it's weird when republicans say democratic run cities are **** cuz to my anecdotal and lived knowledge it went from worse to worser under the Republican strong hold. Like growing up we used to keep our doors unlocked and **** and now it's like fighting everywhere, homeless people on every corner, I hear gunshots at least once every few months. Never was this a thing before Obama go out of office

Saw a report that Madison WI is looking at a 90% voter turnout, it's a college town that's overwhelmingly blue.

That NYT article that basically showed that those who moved to Florida slanted at R+40...girl just flood the state at that point. :suburban:

I don't know if I can watch CNN this time around for their election coverage. I still have PTSD from their breaking news sound. :deadbanana:

Good grief Florida. Trying not to make any snarky comments about hurricanes right now

Florida will probably stay red until there are big changes in the local Democratic leadership. Bad candidates, bad organization, no real policy platform… it’s almost like they want to lose.

I'm also voting in a deep red state (IN :rip:) but I'm prepared to sit there all day if I have to. There's been Harris signs up all over the place which has been a comfort

Ooop just got home, was at the polling place like less than 15 mins :ahh: I was scared because my bf early voted and was in line for 4 hrs :rip:

Wisconsin falling has been my lead Kamala loss hypothetical pathway in my predictions for a while.
