Even though I’m optimistic I’m still terrified.  I work for a local welfare office and I just know if Trump wins he’s going to gut it and I’ll lose my job

I got to my polling station at 6:55am and there was already a line outside and I stood there and it started to rain but I WAS NOT moving until I got my vote in  I waited around 10 mins and was number 47 on the sign in sheet so it must have been a sign  But it went really smooth. The election day workers are people who need so much recognition to get the lines moving and people in and out. Also the poor lady handing out stickers accidently gave me 3 stuck together so now I have 3 "I Voted" stickers like I cast 3 ballots.

I think this election is extra hard to predict because the last election was such an outlier especially in terms of logistics. Early/main-in votes favored Dems so much more heavily bc republicans renounced those means. This year they have embraced them and I think Election Day will favor Dems a lot more than it did in 2020. It's hard to extrapolate when our most recent election was so weird in so many ways.
