shelven Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Not to be all "isn't democracy beautiful????" when said democracy is extremely close to electing a literal racist who openly brags about how much he wants to be a dictator, but I will say it's pleasantly surprising to see that the early predictions of a big turnout drop compared to 2020 probably aren't going to pan out. Trump winning would be awful either way, but a Trump win based on a highly engaged voting population feels ever so slightly easier to swallow than a Trump win that only happened because everyone checked out of the election after the Democrats couldn't find someone who people actually wanted to vote for. 9

I don't feel entitled to anything y'all do since you do... nothing. Instead, I just expect y'all to walk the walk and talk the talk. Y'all spend all damn day sitting online screaming about how you're the ethical and moral authorities, but when it comes to putting in the work and trying to affect change, you go silent because canvassing or phone banking for your preferred candidate isn't exactly "social media friendly".
