Which, in all likelihood, neither side will end up with one, since Dems are allegedly favored to take back the House. Overplaying their hand and getting rid of the filibuster when it would be meaningless to do so would be foolish on their part. The timing is important. It needs to align where they can perform the ultimate power grab and somehow ensure that the Democrats are locked out of ever getting a functional trifecta themselves ever again. So that they can't ever undo the damage. 1

And frankly, there are probably other Senate Dems who would come out to preserve it if he wasn't there. The -only- path to restoring Roe is with 60 Democratic Senators. And that is never going to happen. The Dems are, frankly, at their best possible ceiling right now, and it's only going to get worse when Kemp cooks Ossoff in 2026. 1
