shookspeare Posted October 16 Posted October 16 she kinda got cooked in this interview ngl. Not sure why she did it, she wasn't going to convince anyone who watches fox 3
Blade Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Please don't meltdown tomorrow when that Fox News poll makes Silver's forecast go from Kamala 50% chance to win to Kamala 49% chance. 2
GhostBox Posted October 16 Posted October 16 He couldn't let her finish talking at all but that wasn't by gonna stop her 😂👏🏼👏🏼 1
Thickorita Posted October 16 Posted October 16 She was good at dunking on Trump but I wish she realised she's never gonna win following the right-wing talking points - the section on immigration was by far the weakest. Being Republican-lite on the border is senseless when people who agree with it are just going to vote Trump anyway. 1 3

Not sure why she did it, she wasn't going to convince anyone who watches fox I'm pretty critical on Harris's interviewing skills but I actually feel she held her own extremely well with this one, it's Faux News and Brett Baier not MSNBC and Rachel Maddow 4
ultraviolence.xx Posted October 16 Posted October 16 i haven't seen the whole thing yet but i'm impressed by what i have seen! good for her

Totally swung conservatives her way on the issue! Both of them sound like dumb asses because the US has no right to force another country to take in people the US deports aka why "Remain in Mexico" was deemed illegal. Communion Posted October 16 Posted October 16 There's no path to victory outside of WI/MI/PA. Playing footsies with independent white men without degrees whose only politics are bombing Iran and thinking deregulating housing will somehow produce more homes for poor people was fun but maybe it's time to act serious and actually start running like a Democrat again. 1

GhostBox Posted October 16 Posted October 16 She did a pretty good job with this "interview". If you wanna call it that. 💀 I actually like this Harris the best. She seemed very passionate and wasn't letting him get away with his bs. 👏🏼 3
GhostBox Posted October 16 Posted October 16 +6 in the swing states? 💀 he can have that +2 national number 😂 3
Devon Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) Just watched the Fox interview…. If you can call it that. Constantly interrupted with gotcha moments. One observation - She needs better answers on the Biden administration 'mistakes' like the border. I'm so shocked her team hasn't found effective answers for this yet it can't just constantly be "but Trump". Edited October 16 by Devon 3

If you believed in public polling, the final stages of polling are beginning to reveal that's the smartest and easiest path to win for Harris is WI/MI/PA and yet Dems seem to be pursuing the hardest possible route to victory. One has to wonder if the shift to pandering towards independent whites is due to some internal forecasting about a collapsed youth vote in Michigan that NYT/Siena (?) showed initial signs of that other pollster may be missing due to the disproportionately large amount of young Muslims in Michigan (cc: @Vermillion). The below map would be an odd yet ironic ending with a painstakingly long night on election night: Quote Not this map becoming more and more likely every day and even then still getting less and less likely than the nightmare scenario of 270 D - 268 R. I've been pretty bearish on her chances lately but the projects are so close when looking at the estimated vote share. She could very well lose if one of the blue wall states falls but also, even if one does, it's not impossible for her to be saved by NC or GA or if it's PA that falls specifically, NC/GA + NV. Idk those projections are much too close for my comfort. 1

Cross tabs across numerous polls just don't show white voters in the Sun Belt responding or breaking out into the same kind of gender polarization in the same way that she needs them to and as they look like to be doing in the Rust Belt. 1

I also agree with you that out of the Sun Belt states, NC is the most likely to go blue even if it means it flips blue while the other flip red. Whether it be because it's whiter, because of the hurricane devastating the most reliably republican part of the state, or both, I'm just banking on that being closer. 1 2
