I'm taking double my anxiety meds and checking this thread once and hour. This election has been so bad mentally for everyoneΒ

I think polls are overestimating Trump, not Kamala. She will get to 270 and win at least 4 of 6 swing states.

Agreed.Β

Get drunk and watch CNN, probablyΒ :gaycat6:

Β

I was also thinking about downing instant Nescafe packets like a pixy stick to stay awake all night but we'll seeΒ :gaycat6:

I literally can't imagine personally going out at a watch party for this one tbh, it's way too heavy.Β

I feel like Wisconsin is going to be the actual tipping point state. Not PAΒ

That's exactly how I was feeling but with the pit in my stomach I don't know if I could bear to be home. I don't expect watch parties to be actual watch parties. More like support sessions.

I'm having a friend come over and we are taking edibles to calm our nerves as we're glued to the TV and social media

Good! This was ridiculous and was only gonna cause further delaysΒ

306k people in GA voted early in person on the first day (IPEV in case you ever see that acronym thrown around)

+ 23k people voted absentee/mail-in in GA

Β

Total just under 329,000. Quite the jump but like that person said don't read into it.

Due to the time difference I'll be teaching all day as results are coming in on Wednesday my time. Yes I will probably stream the results live in my social studies class and no I'm not ashamedΒ :suburban:

Spoiler

Australian students are all so interested in American politics, you guys would be shocked. Some of my kids know so much about this election

I took the next day off, because I just know it's going to be a late night.Β

I was talking with one of my friends earlier how it's weird to not see barely any Trump signs out in the area. In 2016 and 2020 they were everywhere but this election I have seen maybe 2 in yards and 2 flags outside homes. That's it.Β
