anti-bitch Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I think Tim Waltz might just win the presidency for Kamala. He's gonna get enough white and latino men to vote for their ticket. He knows how to speak to blue collar men in particular.

Thuggin Posted October 11 Posted October 11 This is so bleak. Like fine, I get that trans women competing in women's sports is a losing issue with the median voter - though I would argue it won't be swaying many people's votes and it would be much more effective to argue the government shouldn't be involved in this at all - but calling them "boys" is insulting and a major concession to the right on trans issues period. Remember when I said all issues besides "Trump bad" and abortion have become negotiable for Democrats? 1

Conservatives have been saying for a while that if Kamala loses she will run for Governor of California in 2026 when Newsom reaches his term limit

She had very high favorables for a while. Then she started running in 2015 and yea we know what happened 💀 so she might run again in 2028 but I don't see her being the breakout star. Hillary didn't disappear after her first failed primary run. She became SOS and then ran for president. Similarly, Kamala didn't disappear after her first failed primary run. She became Vice President and then ran for president. I think it's a fair comparison. But I do agree that she would probably still run in 2028 but would not be successful. If Kamala loses this year, the Democrats will not nominate a woman or a POC for several cycles. 1 1

I think the last major party candidate to win the nomination, lose the election, and then run again was Nixon? So it's extremely unlikely. I also don't buy the idea that a woman won't run again for a long time. Voters have extremely short memories (voters seem to have already forgotten about all the **** Trump but the country through in 2020 and he's now claiming he saved Obamacare?). People said the same thing after Hillary lost and here we are 8 years later.
Armani? Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Quote Don't be sexist. Vote for Kamala Harris. That's one heck of a bumper sticker message. And it comes from America's first Black president — the hope and change candidate — in a message directed explicitly at Black men. In a speech in Pittsburgh on Thursday, former President Barack Obama singled out Black men for what he sees as their reluctance to back Harris. Prediction: Black women will be the most pro-Harris voting bloc come November. The second most pro-Harris, pro-freedom, pro-democracy voting group? You probably didn't guess it: Black men. But still, Obama, who has made a habit of lecturing Black people to show he isn't beholden to them and to allay White fears, felt the need to "admonish" Black men, as the Washington Post headline said. He was "stern," according to the New York Times headline, in calling out the "brothers" (Fox News). 2

The message was not to all black men.

Trump is always put his ego first and ppl like him don't know how to accept the fair and square defeat I don't disgree that this may be what they're thinking, but the incomprehensible part of it to me is that I think they'd be pretty heavily favoured to win the election right now if it wasn't for this singular issue. The current American electorate doesn't really want to elect another Democratic president this cycle, but they're more motivated by not wanting to elect an autocrat. So why actively set yourself up to lose the election and then have to make fraud arguments that likely won't end up going anywhere when you could just… win the election outright and not have to worry about any of that?
