The legal swings back and forth on this have been too sudden so it might be a wash but with margins this tight, it matters this soon out. Given the state's new voting laws I doubt it, unless there's a Dem surge from low turnout voters of sizeable proportion that breaks through. We will lose both Senate seats though is my upcoming prediction - Warnock's though will be much closer.

If Republicans are so great on policy, then why shouldn't voters just vote for Republicans downballot? It's a terrible long term strategy. Why do Democrats act like such losers even when they're ahead? 7

I hate it too but I honestly think they have some type of internals that are showing momentum with Republicans who are distancing away from Trump/MAGA ideals. I really think it could be a reverse 2016 with shy Harris voters coming out next month. 2

"Republicans have moved SO FAR right. They are so extreme they are willing to destroy democracy. We need to meet the moment and show that we believe in country over party by including moderate Republicans in our tent!" So basically you reward their rightward shift by also moving right? That's some incentive structure 1 2
Sannie Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Kamala calling Iran our greatest threat worries me... it's clearly a talking point from Israel being used as a way to justify any kind of aggression towards them. Girl, we are less than thirty days out. Shut the hell up. 3

There's a lot of them on Tiktok recording their evacuation or storm preparation. Also, Jim Cantore tweeted that if the eye of the storm goes a bit north of Tampa it could be the most expensive hurricane damage ever. Must be plenty of wealthy people living there. Worst case scenario is either 1. The eye of the storm goes right over Tampa and the winds cause catastrophic damage or 2. The storm makes landfall just north of Tampa Bay and the storm surge funnels into the bay causing catastrophic damage. The best case scenario for the large population of the Tampa Bay Area is a landfall to the south (models have been trending southward a little), but then it brings the catastrophic destruction to Sarasota so all in all it's a really difficult situation that's about to unfold 1
