Get her Abby!! The way Trump is out campaigning and doing rallies and nobody asks why after he only stood in front of some bricks, but god forbid Kamala do interviews everyone's being asking her to get up and do while actually doing behind the scenes work to help hurricane victims and the upcoming one.

If the NYT Florida poll is even remotely close to being correct, then mathematically that means the electoral college bias will have to shrink this year. So as someone who never once thought Florida was in play, I actually view that poll as good news  Please give us a Trump +20 in Florida while the national polls still show Harris +4!

Siena is genuinely on crack :skull:

And Trump is not getting 20% of the Black vote in Florida. It's funny though because their White & Hispanic tabs look realistic. They obviously have some hard R weighing to get +13 lol

Half the population not only doesn't trust experts, "the science", our institutions, but they believe the exact opposite of what they say. Trump, elected Republicans, and self-proclaimed alpha male influencers and their anti toxic chemical mommy tradwives are the ones calling out the institutions, so they're the only ones who can be trusted. There's room for a healthy amount of skepticism of the intentions of our government and institutions of course - like hello, the Iraq War - but more and more it feels like people just distrust everything by default even when there's no reason for deception. And btw this isn't just limited to conservatives, like I know plenty of liberals who have nonsense beliefs about Big Pharma hiding the cure for cancer or the moon landing being fake or anti seed oil garbage. It's very worrisome seeing this wave of anti-intellectualism show no signs of slowing down. I fear we're heading toward an actual Dark Ages.

And that's the problem with Democrats rightward shift when compared to 2020 that they bow down to anti-intellectualism now. Even the CBS refusal to fact-check in the VP debate was a sign of that. All the Kamala memes are funny, but they do make her and the campaign seem a bit unserious. I miss Obama because at least every time he appeared somewhere it felt like he was the adult in the room.

Gee, I wonder how chasing Trump to the right and trying to outflank him to the right for foreign policy worked for Hillary.

They started the branches of government and talking about the upcoming election in my son's class this week. I need to send the study guide papers to some people on Facebook. :eddie:
