FameFatale Posted October 7 Posted October 7 You can tell the talking points Trump has been spewing lately are the right-wing Loomer style talking points. I see some of those circles are saying things and then a week later he is parroting those same things. I'm interested who is advising him right now. It's so weird compared to 2016/2020. He did the same stuff back then, but had advisors right behind him cleaning it up. This time around it's like right-wing crazy conspiracy lovers are advising him and instead of cleaning it up they're doubling down or adding onto the insane conspiracies. It's really dangerous.ย 7

Blade Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Several thoughts today ย 1. Two back to back hurricanes slamming states like Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida among others is going to impact the election results in some way. I don't know how but I have a feeling we're going to see some odd numbers come out of those states on election day. ย 2. I can't believe Oct 7 is just gonna be another day in US politics where you have to attend memorials and can't actively campaign. Within the same 30 day period as 9/11 ย ย 4

HausOfPunk Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The gap between Kamala and Trump in Pennsylvania is still razor thinย I don't see how she's winning without PA. Someone please quote me and tell me why I shouldn't be worried.

They really don't wanna face the fact that global warming is real and that American people have contributed to it massively with their lifestyle. and it's unfortunate because it's not even based on any facts or reality. likeโฆ if the current track keeps it's going to tear up FL's I-4 corridor which houses significant democratic stronghold cities like St. Pete, Tampa, and Orlando which dems rely on heavily to win the state, even though it's all but a red state at this point but whatever. ย I was scrolling through Twitter for updates and it was so funny because on one hand you see MAGAs, who likely aren't even familiar with FL or its voting patterns, claiming that this is a planned storm to take out republicans and on the other hand you'll see FL Trumpers claiming that Biden and FEMA will rush aid to the area because of how reliably pro-democrat it isย ย in the end it's all about pushing their insane narratives, just know the discourse of the storm's aftermath will be even crazier with Helene still being a big story ย like they've moved from dems stuffing ballot boxes with fake votes in 2020ย ย to dems shipping in 20 million migrants to the US so they can vote ย to now dems organizing major storms to take out GOP votesย 1 1

They can no longer hide behind what they really want: a genocide of immigrants, queer people, and women in the US. Genocide for thee but not for me. The true motivation behind this particular brand of politics is undiluted, straightforward vengefulness. For these folks it's **** the consequences, emotionally theyย just want to see Kamala lose. Every justification, argument made is obfuscation to hide this purely emotional motivation. There are plenty of posters in here that betray this feeling with the hyperbolic level of vitriol in their language towards Kamala. ย I got news: it will feel better for one day. Maybe two. Then Trump will be president, Kamala will be in the dustbin of history and nothing will actually be better - only worse. Is it really worth it for one day of emotional vindication and I told you so moments? 8 2 2
