This "across the aisle" mess has Kamala praising Dick Cheney of all people

enough-people.gif

Lord… all this for a chunk of the electorate that won't vote for her regardless :deadbanana:

Democrats need to stop praising the worst among us to get the worst among us to vote for them. There's a whole other world of voters out there if you just… move slightly to the left instead of trying to get Republicans to not vote for the actual Republican option.

This. Democrats have been doing this for 3 elections now. It's nauseating.

I, and millions of other Democratic voters, do not give a single **** that neocon warmongers are putting "country over party! Yay bipartisanship!"

How about trying to win over uncommitted voters so you don't pull a Hillary and find a way to lose Michigan of all places, please

She said thanks

nnn She thanked him for what he has done to serve our country which includes:

- Encouraging wiretapping and illegal surveillance of the the American people

- Leading the charge on the Iraq War

- Gladly sent soldiers into said war while being a draft dodger himself

And that's not really the worst of it, but these are specifically things he did against all Americans. There's nothing to thank him for. He's nasty.

Also… as long as Biden and Harris play their cards right, the strike, Israel-Iran, and Helene recovery will be wins for them. I may be wrong on this, but isn't one of the benefits of being an incumbent during a period of unrest that people tend to prefer to stick with the incumbent than roll the dice on another candidate? Trump never had to deal with anything until COVID, and he flopped it. Biden/Harris haven't fumbled to the degree of hundreds of thousands of Americans dying.

Going to have to disagree here. 2017 was one of the most devastating and catastrophic hurricane seasons for the US between Harvey, Irma and Maria. Trump's behavior during Harvey and Irma recovery efforts in Texas and Florida respectively while essentially ignoring Puerto Rico during Maria and fighting with their official government says a lot right there. Trump was also VERY disrespectful towards Californians by blaming them for the reason that the devastating 2018 Camp Fire and other fires from that year happened, and keep in mind, California voted for Clinton. Trump had already shown disregard towards states that didn't vote for him or groups of people he considered inferior prior to the pandemic and the way he handled the pandemic sealed his loss honestly.

His actions during Maria and the 2018 wildfires are why I find his critiques towards Kamala and Biden's efforts to help Helene victims to be so hypocritical and laughable. He's clearly only trying to show support in order to get any potential votes from the victims in Georgia and North Carolina.

Y'all are so reactionary, her thanking Liz and her father (when she's right behind her) is not PRAISE

Praise would be how y'all stan your faves.

Liz is trash to me, but I would also admire/thank her for giving me a boost in my campaign? Like, lets act like human beings with nuance.

There is growing Democratic fear over how quickly the Wisconsin Senate race is tightening, with party insiders worried they could shockingly lose the critical contest, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: Sen. Tammy Baldwin's (D-Wis.) lead in both public and internal polls has deteriorated, and Republicans are flooding the state with cash to pull off the upset.

  • Baldwin leads by just two points in internal Democratic polling, a source familiar with the campaign told Axios. That is much closer than what public polling has shown for months.
  • Democrats are on pace to be outspent by Republicans in the state every week until Election Day, with an infusion of around $20 million from GOP sources.

Multiple Democratic sources told Axios there are "alarm bells" ringing in the state, arguing the race is much tighter than what public polling has shown.

  • A national Democratic strategist working on Senate campaigns pointed specifically to a recent poll from Marquette University, which showed Baldwin with a six-point lead. The race, the strategist said, is much closer than that.

Not to further stereotype myself as a Aries with a flair for the dramatics, but I will literally set myself on fire if Baldwin loses, especially if she loses even after the needless moderating.

like it's so purposefully obtuse. It's not like Kamala made huge policy concessions for the Cheney endorsements. It's not like she's out there being "like tHanK you DiCk for YouR MasTeRfuL invasion of Iraq!1!!", she is out there doing basic courtesies.  And it isn't about swinging big numbers of Republicans, it's about swinging a few here and there. Every bit counts when Wisconsin has gone for under a point in both previous elections.

Sometimes the girls pretend to not know anything about political strategy just to score points I fear :suburban:

...................right, because she'd already made huge policy concessions, which made it so easy for the Cheneys to endorse her.

Well it's nice they finally have a likely voter # by gender for the August poll. This is kind of iffy though since it's comparing to Edison Exit Poll, but if it resonates in that way then this is fine:giraffe:
