Hillary was never more right than when she made her basket of deplorables comment and I wish she doubled down instead of backing awayย :michael:
But always the political machinations with her ofc

I'd unpack this comment but then it'd be the 2016 primary of Bernie's tweets interpretation on accepting Trump voters weren't bigoted, the perceived delay in endorsing Hillary between those that said he should have sooner and those that said why bother, Debbie and the DNC mess, Comey and the server and the NYC FBI Field Office, Wikileaks/Assange/Stone, Cambridge Analytica/Facebook/The Mercers, and the inability to get rid of the Electoral College for fourteen pages all over again and I don't have the energy.ย

Really good speech from Biden last night.ย

Agreed - it was on the right track. Quite literally the only ones freaking out about it are Conservatives and Progressives.

One user: -makes a post mocking Joe Biden's speech-

ย

You: PROGRESSIVES are freaking out about Biden calling MAGA Republicans fascists.

ย

Progressives (especially those in Congress) have literally shown every ounce of loyalty possible to Joe Biden since he became the nominee two years ago, and this is the thanks they get. You acting like fringe posters on ATRL and Twitter are representative of progressives as a whole is just...:rip:ย

To be fair, I wasn't referring to just users in the thread but the tweets and talking heads they've been sharing. Suggesting only one progressive on earth who happens to post in this thread is who I was solely referring to is....not it. :rip:

ย

Quite the opposite? Did you miss the posts - the tirade/attention seeking started like 2 pages ago.

Anyways, MTG is on twitter calling Biden a Nazi - reported the tweet. :gaycat:

Do people actually watch a random presidential speech about "the soul of the nation"? Most stations didn't even carry it.ย :deadbanana4:

ย

The only speech progressives are concerned about is Biden losing his ego, meeting the moment and listening to his dear friend John Fetterman and descheduling marijuana. Let's not drop the ball or disappoint the moment, Joe, let's do it. :clap3:

Not just that, but the free legal slave labor that marijuana criminalization provides is too valuable for Crime Bill Biden to just give up on. :)ย

And Kamala, a certain iconiC debate fancy speech comes to mind, tea :)

ย

Kamala may be better than Biden at pretending to be progressive, but we know the truthย :cm:ย ideally both would stay far far away from running in 2024 (and Pete obviously cuz ?)

Mess, but I'm not surprised. It's like how Bernie "Honorary Woman" Sanders was the most feminist person who ran in the Democrat/Republican Primary in 2016

ย

ย

She simply can't stop making headlines by being awful and panned (this YouTube dislike bar teasย 9gs88fa.jpgย )

So is your official Ukraine position that we shouldnโ€™t be helping and let Russia take them over thus ย killing thousands and thousands of more innocent Ukrainians? ย  If not whatโ€™s your position? Because really all ย I see is right wing talking points from your posts about Ukraine .ย

Posted

The issue is less that he's supporting Ukraine at all, and more that the taxpayer dollars funneled to Ukraine are endless while any and all domestic spending is stymied due to being decried by conservatives like Joe Manchin as "inflationary." The only domestic spending that is allowed exists in the form of corporate giveaways. Anything that would actually be beneficial to the American people or the world at large is blocked, but Ukraine gets endless blank checks (as does Israel, whom we allow to get away with illegal settlements and displacements of Palestinians without even an ounce of criticism from our Zionist government).

ย

Ukraine shouldn't be overrun, and offering them their requested aid is the right thing to do. However our present course is certain to only lead to a years-long stalemate, and... thus... thousands upon thousands of more dead Ukrainian civilians. It's a lose-lose-lose situation, as the alternatives are to stay the course, back off and leave Ukraine to fend for themselves, or take a more active role in the war and risk that Putin brings about mutually-assured destruction.

and let Russia take them over

If this was America's worry, why did Biden's administration try to get them into a diplomatic agreement in April that the British government intervened in?ย

Posted

It is absolutely gross that neolibs don't treat the crises in Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia, etc like they do with Ukraine (and we know the reason, I mean ... Biden is called "Jim Crow Joe" for a reason)

ย

But it is also gross that neolibs and neocons had no problem with excessively expensive Pentagon/military/police/war/Ukraine spending and PPP loan forgiveness while being triggered about healthcare (hypothetically) and EXTREMELY watered-down and means-tested student loan forgiveness. Other countries shouldn't get more support from America than everyday Americans get. If America was supporting both itself and Ukraine sufficiently, it wouldn't be much of a problem, but suffering Americans are looking at America giving Ukraine literal billions a day and saying "ENOUGH. Why are you helping them before helping we the American people, as if you're actually President of Ukraine" (a bad look for both America and Ukraine).
