now just imagine if Kamala's answer to such an important question was "I'm not gonna tell you" ๐Ÿ’€

if she wins either of these, pretty good shot at winning the election imo.

I don't know how she could win GA and lose AZ.ย
ย

The GOP in AZ is a complete and utter disaster. The state party is broke, and they've been losing consistently since 2018.ย
ย

The GOP in GA is relatively strong (thanks to kemp). I guess it might be a factor of Latinos shifting and GA just being so heavily AA. But stillย

High black turnout combined with educated white voters shifting to D'/ even more than 2020.

The Black population of Georgia is also more college educated relative to other states as well.

ย

Meanwhile in AZ an absolute collapse in Latino support would do the trick.

That's quite literally what's happening unfortunatelyย

ย

No candidate has offered much of anything to Latino groups and Harris's campaign has pretty clearly been struggling to connect with them.

ย

Latinos love social programs, that's why Bernie was so big with them. Harris isn't offering much in the way of that. Them having conservative values isn't really a huge issue either since most Latinos in AZ are Catholic anyways and would vote dem with more incentive to.ย

If Latino voters slip only 2 points in AZ, she would lose the state if she doesn't gain with any other group.

ย

I guess the same could be same for Georgia for Black voters though, but that would be a Republican historical record since 1980 if that panned out nationwide. (Immediately dropped 5 points to 9% by Reagan's 2nd term. Not sure how some fell for him but:skull:)

At least half of these will end up being wrong, but I respect Morning Consult for at least not putting out a bunch of ties like it seems everyone else has decided to do this week :rip:

Vance was picked because

ย

1. Peter Thiel and the Silicon Valley tech bros and cryptocurrency shills wanted him

2. they thought they were sliding into an easy election layup against Biden, so a moderate VP that could shore up swing voters wasn't deemed necessary

ย

His selection was for a completely different election than what we are in now. In hindsight, they probably now wish they had gone with the instinctive pick of Doug Bergum when they had the chance.

I also heard Trump went with Vance instead of a normal running mate after the assassination attempt cause he didn't want to be in a position where someone could assassinate him and get a President Haley

The Fox Georgia poll does show a trend at least from their previous ones since Biden

ย

Their Arizona one is just noisy:rip:

Michigan is regarded as the median state of the country :eli:, another sign poll averages are not horribly off

Me hearing two straight male co-workers joke about a clip going viral in Republican circles of a "fake accent" from when Harris spoke to a largely Hispanic audience recently and trying to figure out how to pitch *re-reads* tax credits for those who build small-business AI data energy centers in low income neighborhoods as a plus to them...

(The biggest sign to me that the "pivot right! pivot right!!" thing will struggle to work is the amount of double-hater "independents" who just give me the impression they're 100% gonna break for Trump and how Harris' pivot to the right has made defending her impossible cause these same people will have no issue of going "of course they both suck" but still frame him as inherently better "for the economy" when confronted with **** like January 6th, etc.)

ย

((Shocker! Punching left at socialism helped Republicans normalize their claims! Who would have thought!))
