Peter Thiel and the Silicon Valley tech bros and cryptocurrency shills wanted him 2. they thought they were sliding into an easy election layup against Biden, so a moderate VP that could shore up swing voters wasn't deemed necessary His selection was for a completely different election than what we are in now.
