Voter registration shows/tells us nothing. Early voting data usually tells us more about where the race is going than "omg, young people registered to vote, that means Dems are storming to the polls!!" 1

Like in 2020, ancestral dems are reverting back to R's in big numbers and that has been showing up in PA's voter registration.

i spit on haters Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Prediction specialists confidently saying Harris is on path to victory keeps my optimism up. But I'm also nervous with how close this race still is. 4

Georgia is likely very slightly lean Dem favorable because of the electorate makeup & demographic changes in the state. But if we're being realistic, say half of those people vote. The net Kamala vote may only be like 10k. Still better than nothing I guess
Blade Posted September 24 Posted September 24 My quick analysis of the state of the race: What was Biden's *only* long shot path is now Harris' strongest and most likely path. WI/MI/PA are all tilt D at the moment with NE02 is somewhere between lean D/likely D depending whose ratings terminology you want to use. The remaining stats range from pure toss up (NV and NC) to what I feel is tilt R (AZ/GA). Of course assuming no faithless electors she doesn't need the remaining states. I still hold my belief that NC will be bluer than GA regardless of who wins those states or the election in general. Educated White voters are going to turn out and shift towards dems. NC is whiter than GA. 6

Not saying this is anyone on here but some will see 120K new registered voters with them leaning young and assume it means Kamala just gained 100k new GA voters into the electorate. She'll be lucky for those new voters to be D+2 but will probably look more like D+0.5-1 due to polarization. 1

GhostBox Posted September 24 Posted September 24 i wish she didn't have to do all this vp stuff that doesn't really matter (these meetings with the VP don't matter unfortunately) and could focus all of her energy campaigning 👎🏻
Bears01 Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Interesting tidbits: they're saying that Trump is slightly losing in their private polling but all the rust belt states and AZ are basically a tossup 1

Still better than nothing I guess Sorry, for PA I was talking about the early VBM numbers (which didn't even seem to benefit Dems in the end anyways ): I remember this was making some people pretty happy but… it just doesn't matter. I can't be bothered to care about early voting, VBM or voter registrations. It never seems to pan out how I'd hope it would. 1
