Oh, and while we're briefly on the subject of Virginia (last page?), my absentee ballot came in the mail today.

 

At some point when I'm done with my latest IBS episode I'll do my research on Claudia de la Cruz (more than I've already done) and no, I don't plan on voting for her, as I've been consistent and transparent on here on being a capitalist that believes in severe reforms (more than Warren's proposed on several fronts) that's finally come around to believing that Bernie sacrificed too much of what he's believed for even a current throw-hands-up write-in and I've already covered his massive blind spots culturally past and present extensively.

 

Cornel needs to pay his ****ing child support and I'd love explanations on Jill's stock portfolio despite agreeing with her recent emphasis on an Upper Midwest Arab-American diaspora strategy, clearly (and several other issues) - then again I don't think she believes half the **** she's saying.

 

The convention reforms and softening at the Libertarian confab, including with the out Chase Oliver, have been somewhat fascinating but overblown. And despite needing drastic funding restructuring, we still need a Department of Education.

 

Voting Dem down-ballot and will probably vote last-minute on the endless flip-flopper with blood on her hands. If I see the phrase lesser-of-two-evils on this forum again I don't want to damage my iPhone case anymore from throwing it.

 

I'm demoralized and exhausted, on a visceral level.

 

I've been asked if I'd ever go back to the Hill or campaigns again and for the sake of my resume I won't have a choice. Will I be enthusiastic about it? No, most definitely not.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation is listed as just "Independent" on the VA ballot, same as Cornel's on the next line

Edit: This might as well be the part where I admit a vote for Marianne in the VA primary months ago as I was intensely pissed and didn't want to do a write-in. I regret the decision, deeply

Encourages voting for Kamala then pushing her to the left.

 

Of course context is Kamala's security advisor already clarified there's no budging from her that'll happen on an arms embargo compared to Biden.

 

Her strategy, as I predicted a week after Biden stepped down was that she'd need to make up the difference with moderates in the Upper Midwest as a result of not budging for the Arab-American diaspora and that lingering Dobbs outrage still wouldn't be enough.
