What has AOC achieved other than moving to the right to keep up with her party which has been doing the same? She's accomplished just as little as the leftists who've accosted her in public, and AIPAC still wants her gone even with all of the capitulations she's made. 1 2

Genuinely hilarious / sadly repulsive that she's who is who the Dems in Michigan wanted to send to the Senate. ย

Y'all know how the gov't works and know full well singular members of Congress cannot do much on their own. This isn't the "got'cha" you think it is. You can check her record here:ย https://www.billtrack50.com/legislatordetail/23944ย That's right, she has an actual record. Something most online leftists leaders will never have because they don't possess the ability to organize enough to get elected. ย More than anything, AOC's impact is much better felt in her public persona and how much she has influenced young people to get involved in local and federal politics. She doesn't just show up every four years and ask for money; she's very popular in her district because of her constituency work. Her constituents love her exactly for the reasons the left is starting to turn on her. 5

She's a standard party line voter in 99% of votes. What was the point of primarying him when all she's been was yet another rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries (who've shown nothing but contempt for the movement she claims to support)? 1

ClashAndBurn Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Not sure what else you would expect, since Operation Push Biden Left was objectively a massive failure. All that's come of that has been a massive rightward shift for the ENTIRE party from top to bottom, soโฆ yeah. Congratu-f'ing-lations. 1
Relampago. Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Is anyone else like, really worried about PA? During the post-convention period, it just seems like polls for Harris got worse there.ย ย It's starting to look bleak againโฆ 1

shelven Posted September 2 Posted September 2 It's honestly very odd we have so little high-quality PA polling considering the news organizations that operate high-quality pollsters are all the same ones who won't shut up about how PA is the most important state in the election 2

I wouldn't be as negative if it wasn't right after the DNC though. Not just having no effect, but having a negative effect.. yeah the polls there lately have been right leaning ones but idk. Just doesn't feel good I guess.ย ย Part of me is really starting to think she should have just picked Shapiro in the end. Whatever, he sucks but they're going down the pro-Israel route anyways and I really do not think people would have given enough f*cks about the murder coverup and sexual assault allegations tbh. I love Walz and he's easily my favorite person on both tickets but I don't think anything he's achieved couldn't have been achieved with Shapiro besides the week of excitement and enthusiasm that Walz brought.ย ย I hope they were tactical and still saw a path to victory in PA but based on the heavy campaigning in GA, I have a feeling they're hoping they can swing GA/AZ this to make up for a PA loss. Not that they've given up PA but it doesn't look great.
Blankspace2010 Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) PA defo doesn't look great and neither does MI for that matter. Edited September 2 by Blankspace2010

It is a tricky situation but Harris can still win if she gets any 2 of AZ, GA and NC. Obviously she has to keep Wisconsin and Michigan too:ย 1
