Communion Posted August 29 Posted August 29 41 minutes ago, nadiamendell said: Β Β Β Honestly Kamala needs to get out there and start talking about her policies and what she plans to do as president. She also needs to put these on her website. Trump is out there making headlines with (BS) stories like this while she is still on the campaign trail talking about how scary a Trump presidency will be. We get it, but it's getting tired. Show us what you are going to do as president.Β It feels like she's trying to avoid the mistakes of Clinton (ie: becoming deeply unpopular), but such was the result of 15+ years of Republican resentment/ Trump could define Hillary with quips and insults becauseΒ Hillary being so hated made it easy for him to say anything to contrast him and her and people would believe it. Β Harris hiding in the shadows feels like it'll inadvertently somewhat replicate that exact phenomenon for Trump by giving Trump room to define her for her. 2

It involves a mixture of traditional republicans, people who vote straight "R" in every election and have done so their entire life, evangelical Christian's, and then people who didn't give af about politics until Trump and only care about politics when Trump is on the ballot. dman4life Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Kamala comes off as a good person who used her career to try and make the world a better place which is why nothing Trump says really sticks. That's why his surrogates and campaign are begging him to hammer her on the economy and immigration, they legit don't have any other baggage from her to grab onto.Β 2

Maybe it's cognitive dissonance on my part, but I cannot for the life of me understand how the left can promise not to vote for Kamala and then be confused when she doesn't try to court them.Β More than any candidate in history, Kamala and her team are very very "online". They see all the promises of not getting certain factions' votes so they're not going to go after them. She's taking y'all your word. Biden was running against Trump during Covid and he had years to prop up his campaign. Β We really need to avoid trying to make these one-to-one comparisons when it's just not possible this time around.
