The internal polling having it neck and neck is so crazy to me. I know its been a reality for a while now but I can't believe its still so close. :rip:

@ClashAndBurn Ideally from a political standpoint, Gary Peters would retire next political cycle and Gretchen would run for the seat.

But this isn't an ideal world and your prediction of a pundit track is probably more accurate.

But everything hinges on a win or loss in November.

So now not only is it constant re-logins but constant refreshes to read tweets. Lovely. My catch-up's gonna be a slog. :ace:

The community notes doing that thing where Republicans defend the electoral college yet the defenses they give just make it obvious why the thing they're defending is bad.

"The president doesn't have to select a prime minister". Girl, what?

"They are still trying to form a government". Yes, that's literally her point. That Macon won't allow for a government where the main left party is allowed in the alliance despite them being in the alliance that won the most seats. And that the alternative is to create a coalition with...the right? :rip:

Liberals may want to avoid defending Macron, as they spent weeks going "the American left is stupid, look at the French left saving democracy by sacrificing and compromising!!!". I assume this means that the American left will soon face the fate the French left are now facing in liberals choosing to align with fascists over them? :suburban:

And that's why we can't give up on pressuring these misguided folks refusing to vote bc the candidate doesn't check every single ideal under their sun.

Well... of course they would allow themselves to get bullied into bending the knee for not even the barest minimum of a reassurance. They always do, in the end. That's why the Democrats know that they never have to make concessions or try to give anyone a reason to vote for them. They can always expect the progressives and everyone protesting the genocide that they fully support to come home in the end, because they are either too feckless to uphold their stated values or have nowhere else to turn.

Sorry if this is a silly question but what is the best approach to tonight's interview with Dana for Kamala to earn some support from people still on the fence? Like is it more beneficial to Kamala if Dana asks hard, hot button questions and Kamala has to really make a stance or is it better if Dana goes easy and keeps it overall positive?

Of course I know there's no definitive answer but just wondering what the consensus here is? :bird:

The fact that Trump's surrogates are begging him to stay on message is a story within itself and speaks to his competency. No chance in hell should Kamala fumble this interview when MAGA has basically given her a cheat sheet on everything she's be pressed on leading up to the election.
