I'm pretty sure it was very good for Dems and, if holds like in past years, translates to a +5-7 environment for Dems. 1

You've posted disgusting things about black progressives electeds. ย You're very blatantly attempting a version of IDPOL that does not work nor does it convince anyone.ย ย You're not going to discourse your way out of defending genocide by arguing about how colorism (??? I'm screaming, do you even know what colorist means? That it makes no sense in the context you're trying to use it in proves my point! You're playing liberal mad libs!) is somehow at play if anti-genocide activists inadvertently make a very specific demographic of black liberal Americans (while most Harris supporters making this argiment are not even in this demographic) "feel bad' or "ruin their excitement" for voting for a black woman genocider for president.ย ย Again, you're so deeply out of your depth here. It's like watching someone try and appropriate a vernacular that they have never studied nor that they have even agreed with until it became politically relevant. ย White liberals scolding anti-genocide activists and for some reason citing BLM (???) would be convincing if the same actors weren't on record attacking largely black progressive politicians fighting for defunding the police and propping up pro-police brutality politicians of all races (like Harris herself) throughout 2020-2024.ย ย ย My goodness, you're exhausting. You reduce black people to nothing more than "libs" or "Harris supporters" b/c it's how you're able to compartmentalize their struggle and justify your "Palestine-or-bust" approach to your fetishization of the genocide. Bears01 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 The most eye popping thing during the Trump era in politics is just how bad candidates who mimic him do in pure battleground races, while he damn near wins or barely loses. Even people like MTG in R+7 million seats run pretty terrible for their margins ย ย From 2010-2014 candidates like Gallego, Stein and Rosen would be fighting for their lives for 0.5 point victory against a non insane GOP opponent, yet here they are literally running away with their races with Trump at the top of the ticket at thatย ย Hell, Katie Hobbs won her race running a pretty terrible campaignย 1 1 1

shelven Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Potentially a messy take, but Rosen's margins kind of prove that physical appearance is a material factor in how some people vote. Brown shouldn't be doing this badly on paper (he's not a uniquely awful candidate like Lake or Robinson), but then you Google him and it becomes clearer why some people may be gravitating towards Rosen even though the presidential race is so tight ย Not saying people are intentionally deciding based on that, but I'm convinced it's impacting the race subliminally. 1 1
