now why would he want to keep sensitive information about the president of France. Someone we know he didnโ€™t like. ย He was going to blackmail or sell this info. No doubt about itย

why did the FBI wait until now to search his home? genuinely curious (not a conservative)

I mean, still skeptical he sees any actual consequences for any of this. Also, it very well could result in Republican base doubling down in defiance. โ€œSo? Would still rather be Russian than a Democrat.โ€ And he could easily win re-election because the electorate doesnโ€™t really care about any of this as much as they do about inflation.

ย

Not saying this isnโ€™t the right thing to do, by any means, but we should be wary of the outcome.

They tried for months and got docs during each round they went (by asking in addition to a prior warrant) since he left office but weren't given them in full and/or were promised them in full which they never received, hence the stronger warrant and seizing of everything (including docs that could be evidence of a crime such as Jan 6th that don't even involve this) .ย Also...

I mean, I'm with you.

ย

But, I'm not really sure where we go from here.ย

ONLY THING THAT MIGHT JUSTIFY THIS IS NUCLEAR CODES......*literally a half-step from nuclear codes*.....radio silence.ย

ย

I'm wary with a baked in cynicism as you know, but I don't.......I don't really know what we do as a country now.ย

I hear they were actually waiting for a string of days where they were certain he wouldn't be there. The apparently though they could do it with reduced chance of it blowing up into a political incident. I guess the FBI hasn't been recruiting the best and brightest.

Mainly referring to the big-brain liberals who are, imo, prematurely declaring that everyone who doubted Garland owes him an apology. When... nothing has happened to Trump at all yet.

According to who? Everything across the political spectrum I've read has been they knew it'd be a political meltdown but this was the last resort for the absolute worst case scenario.ย

Nobody knew it was even happening until Trump ran his mouth on Truth Social about it. :rip:ย

That's actuallyย notย true.

ย

Two sources to a reporter from Florida Politics broke the story but he couldn't confirm it definitively andย thenย Trump posted about it :coffee2:ย

Ms. Pelosi does it again

Just a friendly reminder that sheโ€™s exactly who progressives say they want. If she were a man, no one would even talk about that guy from Vermont in the same breath as her.ย :gaycat:

The answer of course is no. From power moves like ending the Iraq war (which bush vetoed), to unpopular packages like the bailouts, controversial laws like the ACA, and giant socialist giveaways like CARES, Pelosi always has her girls in formation.ย :gaycat5:

That last tweet also illustrates how spineless The Squad is compared to how committed to the cause that the Freedom Caucus is. They only oppose bills that they know are going to pass anyway, and honestly just serve to give the Democrats cover for not completely passing bills on a unified party line. They're also there to serve as "the villains" while Gottheimer and the moderates don't get nearly the same amount of scrutiny even though they're the ones who actually block Democratic Party priorities from passing when they don't want them.

Not only did she have Bush in a chokehold, making his party lose 1000s of seats in two consecutive waveย elections, butโ€ฆ

Itโ€™s the way she stood up to Trump and WON.

If this is speaking from a place of privilege so be it, but the worst part of DeSantis winning in 2024 isn't going to be the policies.ย

ย

Presuming he brings his campaign team to the White House, it'll be this woman. Who, reminder, is a registered foreign agent for the nation of Georgia.

ย

I've followed her for a while and she's sort of the ultimate id for politics as a bloodsport. Like Stephen Miller on crack.ย

The fact that Dems have to do MORE than this (which in itself isnโ€™t a guarantee cause people vote more off ~vibes~ than policy) is kind sad.ย :gaycat6:

The midterms shouldnโ€™t even be in contentious at this point. And yetโ€ฆ clearly America_Has_A_Problem.mp3:jonny2:
