Just remembered that Ted Cruz Cancun fiasco was in 2021, if only Texans would make him pay for that this year :gaycat6:

I'm really thinking about canvassing after Labor Day. Has anyone here ever done it? Any tips for volunteering?ย

Imagine if the Beto enthusiasm all those years ago coincided with Kamala's candidacy this yearย :gaycat6:

Just remember not to take the vitriol from people personally. They hate democrats/Kamala, not you. It can be emotionally and mentally draining, but ultimately, they have no problems directly with you.ย

And cherish the good interactionsโ€” they'll carry you a long way. If you succeed with 2 people and fail with 20, those 2 people will make a much bigger difference than trying to sit and argue with the other 20. Save your mental health and just move on if someone is giving you a hard time.

Weird and possibly dumb question, if trump people write in trump x rfk jr on their ballots is it a vote for trump or is it thrown out?ย

ย

I see quiet a few trumpers on tweeter saying they're gonna write that in :deadbanana4:

I think it would count as a "write in" vote and takes away votes from Trump. The bubble by the name has to be filled in for the machine to correctly count it.ย

Young Male Vote in 2022 Midterms were

Overallย - 53% Dem/42% Rep

18 - 29 White Men 49%Dem/45% Rep

ย

18 - 29 Hispanic Men 56% Dem/40% Rep

ย

18 - 29 Black Men N/A from too low turnout but based on turnout for others it has to be at least 80% Dem

ย

In November I expect young White Men to flip in support of Trump in November. Maybe 52% Trump/45% Kamala.

ย

Young Hispanic Men & Young Black Men will probably stay relatively the same. Young Black Men may likely crack 85% or more for Kamala. May get young Hispanic Men up to 60% Dem again also

Anything that's written in would count against the options that are bubbled.

I've been thinking about phone banking for Harris from home. Obviously I'm in WV and can't physically make it to a swing state lol ย

ย

does anyone know where to go to do this?ย

I think in some states it may be able to be corrected prior to a certain deadline. Not sure about the state specifics.

You can find all sorts of things here, look around! I did texting in 2020 and it's a good way to help if you don't like talking on the phone to strangers. I think they have trainings you can go to before you start doing whateverย :bird:ย

Yeah I think white men in general will turn a bit more on Trump side since Kamala took over

She will gain a considerable amount of Black votes for sure, she's similar in a way with Obama's imagery and politics

As for the Hispanics, I'm not sure if it will have a significant change, maybe even a slight chance towards Trump

If the POC turnout is similar to 2020, Young White men flipping to Trump will be cancelled out.

It would be a majority of around 55% Young Men voting Kamalaย

ย

Young White Men - 61% ofย  young men

52%Trump/45

ย

Young Black Men - 11% of young men

85%Kamala/11ย

ย

Young Hispanic Men - 20% of young men

60%Kamala/38

ย

Other POC Vote Male - 8%ย

65% Kamala/33

ย

Edit - Oops, young White men have higher share of vote. Still didn't change the tally that much though. Drops one point to 55% Kamala leading with young men

The Democrats' Trump, but somehow even less successfulย :ahh:ย

ย

If she's the nominee for governor in 2026, there's no point in turning out again, since she'll get btfo'ed by probably double digits. Ossoff is getting blown out too, so that would just be even more reason to just tune out.

She shouldn't do press interviews not because they don't help in general, but because she's always bad in them. Every single one. She flubs even the easiest of softballs.
