I swear to god....

A war criminal being welcomed while Palestinians get rejected would be... genuinely, as someone whose entire political view was radicalized and informed by being a child of the 9/11 era... :gaycat7:

its not.

But that would have legit made me not vote. It's like every time I talk to liberals on Reddit and they say "at least with W, I never thought American democracy was at risk!!!" Like he didn't steal the 2000 election and murder 1 million+ people

I hope it is Elon Musk. An entire 4000 person arena booing him in unison would be most pleasing to me.

Maybe Steph Curry? He plays in SF. But would he be that famous to keep the news secret?

When I saw that tweet mention SF, that's who I thought as well. But I'm not sure he's worth keeping a secret over. :deadbanana:

I hope she kills the speech (and magically changes her views on Palestine) and dominates the first debate. 'Cause I'm starting to lose some hope, sisters. I just have this sinking gut feeling.

Idk why it's so funny but every time the speaker just ends and walks off with no warning is killing me.

Based on what, sis? Polls haven't changed, the DNC is getting huge ratings (bigger than RNC), Trump and Vance continue to dig themselves into a bigger hole, and the "huge protests against Kamala" ended up being a dud. All signs have remained positive unless you're sitting online listening to a loud minority of people.

The fact that Joe has been one of the worst speakers of the week but he still believed was the only one who could beat Trump...  It's a shame there wasn't a proper primary because there's lots of good would-be Democrat candidates who could have offered more than the vibes campaign Kamala is running.

I think I just have PTSD from the last two elections. I'm so anxious lol. Trump's betting odds increasing has me a little scared.

Between RFK likely dropping out tomorrow and endorsing Trump, and the likelihood of no Palestinian speaker at the DNC thus causing more backlash…I'm starting to lose hope in Kamala winning :dancehall3:

This is where I am as well :coffee2:

See, my gut feeling is that she'll actually win by a larger margin than people think. :rip: Not necessarily because people want her to be president, but because she represents something bigger.

I'm still at a 50/50. I think the debate will be when I have a solid idea of who I think will win.

There's a few reasons to be worried, but the betting odds aren't one of them. They're reactionary and change like the wind. Just yesterday I asked about Trump's betting odds going way up randomly because I thought I missed some big news, but no, it was like just cause Trump had a better week of polling compared to the last month.

But like I said, there are still some reasons to worry— Polls underestimating Trump twice now, Harris having lower polling numbers than Biden, Harris not pulling as many people from key voter demographics she needs to win, some of the main critiques levied against her still standing (think policy website, no sit down interviews, chosen without a primary, etc).

But there's equal reason to be enthusiastic, her polls are still good and generally still increasing slowly but surely, she's polling even better in states that she needs to win, Harris will probably do well enough at worst against Trump in the debate (🤞🏽), momentum still seems to be going even though the "honeymoon" period is over, abortion is on the ballot in a few states/the Dobbs decision driving out the vote, down ballot republicans tanking Trump in swing states like AZ/NC…

I would say right now, whether or not Kamala will win shouldn't be a worry. We can't really tell this far out but if nothing else it's looking so, so much better than a month ago. Enjoy the DNC and get ready for the debate because once that passes, we'll start to see things shake up even more.

I go back and forth on different days on what my gut tells me. Last night my gut told me Trump was gonna win. Wasn't like that Tuesday.
