Nothing wrong with a little celebration and joy but… let's not go enhance the tone deaf image. Nonetheless, if it is some huge celebrity that's cool as an ATRLer I guess but not that exciting as a voter. Just now seeing this but I don't get what the issue is with celebrities at the convention? If the GOP could draw any A-List guests instead of people like Amber Rose and Hulk Hogan, they would feature them as well and have in the past. The DNC looks more representative of America than whatever the hell the RNC was offering.

Tovitov Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Apparently a 6pm cst deadline was given for a reversal on a Palestinian speaker. So two more hours. 1

If they can offer slots to celebrities, billionaires and life-long Republicans, it definitely reads like a spit in the face to the Uncommitted and others who are heavy on Gaza. Not great optics imo. 1 1

Tovitov Posted August 22 Posted August 22 FWIW, we dont have an official day 4 speaker schedule yet either. So who knows

Lil Mistee Posted August 22 Posted August 22 I can't tell if pollsters are over correcting because of their massive fails in 2016 and 2020 especially. I also suspect more woman will vote this election than prior ones due to roe v wade

Miles. Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Beyonce is cool but won't move the needle. Hopefully they're planning something bigger with Taylor for the near future. 1

After years of them lying about Joe Biden's deteriorating health and mental decline? This is EXACTLY the kind of thing Establishment Democrats would lie about ALL THE TIME. And they know their loyal stenographers in the mainstream press will be more than eager to help them spread their lies to discredit the left. 2 1 1
Wonderland Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Quote The poll comes ahead of Harris' major speech to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) later today, where she's expected to accept the party's nomination for President. Talbot Mills polled more than 1000 people in New Zealand this month, asking the question: If you were eligible to vote in the US election, who would you vote for? Some 55% of people said Harris, some 21% of people said Trump. Harris +34 in New Zealand 3
