Sannie Posted August 22 Posted August 22 37 minutes ago, ClashAndBurn said: Dont care. The fact that they're given a platform while they've shown nothing but pure contempt for Uncommitted (even though they received more votes in one primary than Kamala did across two) shows you where this party stands. Well, yes. The Democratic Party does not stand with the people who didn't vote for the democratic ticket. What's next? The Democratic Party does not stand with the Republican Party? Not sure why it's hard to understand that the convention is about celebrating the Democratic Party, its supporters, and its nominee lol. You don't get included after spending months refusing to support the party. Throw your own convention. 2 1 5
hausofdave Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Pete is a master at weaving the narrative in a compelling way 3
shelven Posted August 22 Posted August 22 The nonstop message of joy is obviously very good for turnout and enthusiasm, but I do wonder if it could eventually start backfiring on persuasion. If I were an undecided voter struggling with inflation, housing and employment, I'm not sure how I would feel seeing clip after clip of politicians telling me how incredibly joyous this current moment is and how happy and fun I should find this "Kamala and Tim approach the campaign with joy versus Trump and Vance approaching it with hate and anger" is a good message, but the recent slippage into "we're ALL just so joyous and having so much fun!!" feels less effective to me. 5 1

My bf just said this, they keep talking about how joyful things are but we're treading water I do think that they've been good about not pushing this too much on the road though. It's the DNC where they're overly positive, so as long as it doesn't trickle over it's fine I think. 2 2
WildAmerican Posted August 22 Posted August 22 imagine if Klob was Biden's VP and this was her convention rn 5
Raspberries Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Why did Trump randomly overtake Kamala in the betting odds?
MAKSIM Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Josh Shapiro really got whacked tonight by Wes Moore and Pete Buttigieg. 1
wastedpotential Posted August 22 Posted August 22 I see Amy's charisma issues have gotten worse since the 2020 campaign trail 1 3
jakeisphat Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Not people bootlicking Mr. Wall-Street-in-a-suit, carpetbagger, inexperienced, manufactured, "I don't need the Black vote" Buttigieg. Let me keep it cute. 2 1

These trollish posts wouldn't be so annoying if not for the context that they're snide defenses of genocide. Uncommitted delegates are delegates representing Democratic voters. They are a candidate for whom Democratic voters voted for in the Democratic primary - getting more votes than Kamala Harris, who has gotten *zero* despite being awarded the nomination - got to be the nominee. Other people who run in the primary often get to speak, even people who lost. 2020: 2016: 2008: 2004: 2000: 1992: Edited August 22 by Communion 1

Relampago. Posted August 22 Posted August 22 You know there were a lot of major players in 2020 but Amy sorta being one of them never made sense to me Pete could talk, Bernie had the fire, Kamala had the notoriety, Biden is Biden, Liz had the wit… but Amy was always just there. She's kinda a kii though, so I appreciated her presence. 1 3
