shelven Posted August 21 Posted August 21 RFK dropping out is bad for Harris, but him endorsing Trump doesn't really make it any worse. It's been pretty obvious for months now that RFK and his supporters are much more aligned with Trump than they are with the Dems. If you were still planning on voting for RFK even after Harris took over the nomination, you were already viewing Trump as your back-up, so an endorsement doesn't change anything. Also, third party voters choose a third party because they don't want to vote for either of the main candidates. Some people who were planning on voting for RFK will now vote Trump because they feel like it's their civic dury to vote, but a lot of them will now just sit out entirely since they don't like the remaining candidates. So overall, I don't think this changes too much, but I guess we'll see what the first few high quality polls after his announcement say. 1 1

Like Obama, I HATE his policies, but he's charismatic and connected with rural voters in a way almost no Democrat alive can
