Def Michelle night 2. Walz will be hard to top for night 3. He's just so infectious and different from what people are used to. Pete is solid when speaking impromptu, but I feel like he can easily come off as too forced when doing scripted speeches. Secretly though, I might leave the gods an offering tonight for Nancy to come out all sexy and subversive and ready to galvanize the girls. I'm ready for her to make another baffling move in this mess of an election cycle 4
Sannie Posted August 21 Posted August 21 The way Michelle could be President so easily if she wanted to and she just doesn't.

Chiidish Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Barack needed to go after tbh, it's a three pronged attack. Michelle's speech is intentionally better and powerful for the people who were already voting and the people who were undecided. Barack's speech is actually amazing strategy by using his spotlight as a former president and (one of Trump's weird obsessions) to catapult this newfound "we fight we win" language Dems are pushing that will also make Trump spiral even more. Trump sycophants focusing on the practically harmless Barack speech while ignoring the amazing points of Michelle's will also further help convince undecideds/independents (in theory). Let's hope Trump takes the size bait again (thank you Walz for another simple and effective strategy). 1

With that said, I had already heard their love story before so I wasn't as gripped by Doug's as someone else probably would have been. Edited August 21 by Rotunda
VOSS Posted August 21 Posted August 21 DNC was supposed to be a disaster but seems to be a roaring success Abortion confirmed on the ballot in Montana and Arizona Oh it's over 2 1
clee95 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Bill Clinton is an incredible speaker, his speech at the 2012 DNC was amazing. Only thing to see is if age got to him like Biden.
suburbannature Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Trump's upcoming Twitter coke rant is about to be longer than Nicki's after Hiss 13
Harrier Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Michelle will never have competition in the 'best first lady' debate, truly the fact that she's out there easily outslaying Barack, a man who's entire political rise was based on his masterful oratory, is truly something 4 1
Komet Posted August 21 Posted August 21 The DNC vibes are insane It's literally that 'we hate love life and ourselves' meme. It manages to be joyous and optimistic while also beyond vicious and ruthless towards Dump. Switching between fired up DNC and Harris at that filled to the brim RNC arena was VILE. Agree about Michelle having unreal charisma, Repugs should be thanking her everyday that she hates politics. 3
JustHoran Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Night 2 of the DNC was SO good Michelle and Barack were fantastic I love those two! I feel so much excitement and hope that I didn't have when it was Biden as the nominee. 1
