I wasn't able to vote in 2008 (nor did I pay as much attention to politics then as I do now since I was underage then), but is it too soon to say this is what everyone felt with Obama then? Is this the type of hope and excitement that everyone had?

I acknowledge it's a bit premature to say this, but yes.

:jonnycat:

I wasn't old enough to vote until Obama's second time running but the energy feels similar. Never in my Millennial life did I think I would not only get a chance to vote for the first black president but also the first black WOMAN president, too??? The vibes haven't felt this good and unified since 2015, when the factions of the Dem party began fractioning into more progressive and more moderate.

If my pulse on America is right, the people are ready for something different.

I'm interested in seeing what the fundraising numbers look like after this announcement

After years of expecting the most mid decisions possible by Democrats, it is so refreshing and a relief to see them do something right for once

Everyone is on board with this - from the moderates to the progressives

The Harris campaign is making all the correct moves and the momentum is only going to continue to build as they dominate the news cycle the next few days with this VP pick and then the convention

If Kamala is Brat and Walz is a Midwest Princess... who's the Tortured Poet?

I need 20something Tim Walz to throw me up against a back alley bar wall in a Midwestern college town and rough me up like JD and his La-Z-Boy:ryan3:

The GOP will obviously try to define Walz's pick to be about antisemitism, but Walz has a very clear opportunity to define himself if he takes it. He's the most charismatic of all the VP choices, and if the Dems stay on the media's necks it'll be clear why Walz was the pick.

Yes, the GOP is probably relieved that PA is still in play, but Dems are also favorited in a Senate race there and the oppo research on Shapiro was thick. The GOP isn't going to admit they likely had much stronger attacks planned against Shapiro and now have to pivot.

Was trying to donate $50 to Kamala's victory fund from one of those ActBlue text alerts but I guess it actually went to Nancy, so I had to donate $50 to Kamala after that. Nancy can have it as a treat I guess

Shes a lil confused but she got the spirit! :jonny:

Inb4 Nancy is playing the long term game and is making the average American believe these progressive views are actually centrist just to push us all further to the left :ryan3:

Honestly if they need to play up the moderate angle, his time in the house was pretty tame.

This to be honest. She knows she can push a lot of his actually progressive as feel good centrist policies and redefine the game. It's good because he really did start off as a moderate but heard the will of the people and didn't veto their legislation.

And trust, her buys alone will save the stock market from tumbling and thus improve economic sentiment. Oh this ***** is playing chess!
