How much has it trended left/right? Mark Robinson is the furthest right of any politician running for office in the country and seems to hopefully be imploding with his abortion revelations. I have no idea if that'll skew anything but there are consistently double standards on hypocrisy that Dems are held to in the state. Then again a lot of pundits say to never nationalize Governor's races. If Cal Cunningham hadn't cheated I'm still convinced he would've won.

Funny you say that, all the craziness with the VP pick actually made me start re-watching Scandal over the weekend (I never finished it, I only got up to season 3 or so).
